You did. I didn't mean to imply that you didn't. I mentioned the first line because it's the same lie the original headline was.
No problem. Thank you. I thought you meant everything was re-jumbled. :-)
What a wacky article anyway!
The article is fabricated. As MineralMan explained to someone earlier:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1580425/posts?page=125#125
"They gave this worthless plaque to Hillary for co-sponsoring a bill to create a Purple Heart stamp by the USPS. I'm glad there's such a stamp. Good for Hillary for sponsoring the bill.
But, THIS ORGANIZATION DID NOT, AND CANNOT, AWARD A PURPLE HEART TO ANYONE. The headline is a bald-faced lie, designed to tick people off at Hillary (as if that was necessary.)
Be angry at New Smax, not at these veterans. They were thanking someone for supporting a stamp, for pete's sake."
So she DID NOT GET A PURPLE HEART! In fact Hillary never claimed such either. Her website title is:
Senator Clinton Receives Military Order of the Purple Heart Inspirational Leadership Award
and her first paragraph states:
"Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton was awarded the Inspirational Leadership Award by Jim Randles, National Commander for the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH). Also present for the award ceremony was Richard Weeks, New York State Commander, MOPH, who is from Albany, New York. One Member of Congress is chosen for this award each year. Senator Clinton is the first woman to receive this honor."
Correct on all accounts. Thank you.
NEWSMAX ALERT!
They have changed the first paragraph now. Original:
"New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has put in for a Purple Heart - and she received the decoration yesterday."
and the new one:
"New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has put in for a Purple Heart award - and she received the decoration yesterday"
Well, yeah. It's still Hillary.
And not your fault. This article is despicable and a lie. It was meant for you to fly off the handle. Hillary does enough on her own without NewsMax fabricating things on her.
That's good to see.
Carl is a conservative and a bright guy who is good with language. It would be nice to have Newsmax as a source that be relied on.
Keep reading; it's not true.
The problem is too many of the articles are like this one and don't get caught.
I spoke too soon. Second paragraph in tact and still shows the true agenda of the article:
"The former first lady garnered the award without being wounded in combat - or sustaining any kind of injury at all - as is usually the case with Purple Heart recipients.
Neither has Clinton ever served in the military, though she once claimed in a TV interview she tried to join the Marines."
Third too. The basis of the article is so intricately woven into the lie of the Purple Heart. The article now makes no sense. If she received an award that a member of Congress receives once a year then she need not be a member of the military, nor be injured in battle. The article displays all the marks of Dr. Seuss's Yertle the Turtle. Once the lie is extracated the whole thing falls apart.
Yes. And it irritates me but I keep reading there because they are so good at finding interesting stories.
BTW, I love your signature.

"Hillary Clinton Gets Black Heart Award"
Well, so far, the first paragraph shown here still has the original wording. That's it for me. I know now that I can no longer trust NewsMax as any sort of source. This is deliberately deceptive. Carl should be ashamed of himself.
Employing fact checkers would help.
I would have helped if maybe he came here and had the guts to defend his post. We zot those that don't do that if they are new.
Is this for real?
What was the reason for Hillary to receive the Inspirational Leadership Award?
