Think so? Have a drink, shoot someone, and see how many hours can pass by before you have to talk to the cops.

It's not that they could have covered up the event itself. It's that they could have said it was someone else who pulled the trigger.

I have no idea since I don't hunt and I don't drink. But its not like they pull the CSI team out to do the investigation. I'm assuming it's more like a traffic accident where they interview everyone on the scene.

Of course, he the man had died, that would be a different thing. This is just my point: If it was a cover up, it wasn't a very good one. They spoke to local authorities almost immediately, called the press as soon as possible, told the story publicly, let the President know.

The complaint is just that the Washington Press Corp didn't get top billing.

As I understand the timeline, the sheriff was notified about and hour and fifteeen minutes after the accident.

The sheriff chose to wait until the next day to interview the VP. In the meantime, the sheriff initiated the investigation by talking to some people he knew and trusted.

How can this be construed, reasonably, as a cover-up?

It's people like you who are so clueless about reality that make me afraid for this country.

Do you have the capacity to read? There's been a report Cheney had a beer at lunch...A ; as in one. Lunch in S. Texas is traditionally the NOON (you do understand noon is 12:00 during the midday?) meal. The accident happened after 5:00 pm...you know...FIVE hours later.

As far as the rest of your slur, I'm tired of pointing things out to you. Go look it up yourself as to when the sheriff's office was called. Learn to have facts at your disposal before making asinine assumptions.
