It's an Anglo Constitution. It would feel good to make a hefty point that the elites in Mexico can't do anything right and have to rely on Anglo traditions to save themselves.

Anyone who comes here to be an honest, lawabiding American legal citizen is welcome. Anyone who is a racist will be infuriated by those of us who won't comply and those who break the law should be prosecuted

A couple of years ago this article would have produced a barraged of prepackaged vilification from certain posters who are well known here along with demands the posters privileges be suspended and the article pulled. Of late those who once denounced concern with the illegal invasion have become circumspect in calling those who find the prospect of the mexicanization and third worldization of the US to be repugnant racist. Perhaps, rather late in the day, the reality of the problem is becoming so obvious that semantics can no longer be used as a masking technique.
To: robowombat
It can't be racist if it's the Mexicans who may be the racist? I worked with a black woman who really was a racist, but she couldn't accept that she was, because (of course, silly me) she was black.

The faulty logic that this author, and many others, use, is that Mexico, Columbia, and other drug producing nations force the citizens of the US to use drugs. Likewise, that Mexico, Latin America, and other nations of the world force the US to allow their illegals into the country to work.
The reality is that, to a leeser degree, drugs, and to a larger degree, illegals, have a defacto legal stutus in the US. Additionally, to a degree, drugs and illegals are culturally accepted in US society.

Actually, my biggest problem is Godless white liberal elites.

Illegal immigrants have a de facto existence in the US but it is not a legal existence. Those who enable through use of contraband products foreign criminal enterprises or enable the invasion of the United States by foreign nationals through use of their labor are no better than those in the US who enable Al Qaeda by provision of funds or sheltering of their agents. They are all equally traitors and criminals.

And what nonsense is that. Dislike for those who would sell the future of normal Americans for the gelt of transnational corporate looters, dislike of those who would erase the frontiers of our nation, dislike of those who find the de facto invasion of our nation to be unimportant, dislike of the growth of parasitic internal foreign colonies within the United States populated by those who feel no obligation to the host and nurture an endless appetite for government benefits and services paid for by the likes of those of us who are either citizens or are here legally. Perhaps you find these things unimportant or even positive, I don't.

You sure know how to string together cliches and phrases from high school social studies. I bet you are a high school graduate; good job.

And you also know a few three syllable words... although they are words that are overplayed and overused. But good job anyway.
