Ok. That's just wrong. Evan deserved a medal.
To: Miss Marple
I think Evan skated better than the swiss guy.

Is that the one that Alan Colmes married? To Alan's left in the photo is his wife with her head turned.

Yes, saw an interview and he was discussing the recent problem. Altho he considered something to overcome and get on with life. The man has incredible courage and determination. And he looks wonderful. An inspiration.

Yeah, but if Evan hadn't been sick the other day during the short program and hadn't fallen so many times, he probably would have beaten the Swiss guy. The scores are combined.

Thank you for the information. I have spent all this time thinking they were sisters. Of course, it makes no sense. That's why I believed it. Too obviously odd to be an outright lie! I should've known better.
To: Jrabbit
Well, the best part will be if we get to see a hystrical, bitchy interview from Weir. Then he will lose endorsements, too.

I think Evan might have medaled, but he fell during the short program...where the jumps are mandatory...so, he was probably too far down to make it up tonight..
I remember when they used to actually do "figures" to win figure skating! LOL
To: Jrabbit
So what's the rank?
1st Plushenko
2nd ??
3rd The Swiss Guy(?)
4th Lysacek
5th Weir
?

I hate this new scoring system. That swiss skater threw a quad in there with no serious intent of completing it...he gets points just for making all the rotations.
What's ice skating come to when it doesn't matter if you nail the landing??!!!!

I don't get the scoring changes. They have a big scandal 4 years ago with a French judge, and now they have an anonymous scoring system. So how is that supposed to help the accountability?
To: Miss Marple
Don't know where you got that ideaRight here on FR.

Thanks for the info. I've always liked Scott Hamilton. Just read a brief bio of him online. He's had bouts of sickness his whole life. He's a fighter obviously, and I wish him a long life.

Oh, yeah...the skaters hated those...figure 8's...they had to trace over their skate marks exactly, right?

I heard Rush say that, too, which just shows he hasn't had a look at Johnny Weir. Here's what Johnny said: The three-time U-S mens figure skating champion says he got it from Russian pairs skater Tatiana Totmianina as a birthday present.
