My boy says the same thing. It has made him so much more homesick since our neighbor next door is from Germany as well, and when they get to gabbing, geeeeez... forever! :) His family has a long history in Germany, and he is the first generation American. I try to keep it real for him! :)

If you can cook it, you're lucky. I love eating it, but can't cook it to taste authentic. I did try Rouladen once, and it wasn't bad. But hard to duplicate...even the pickle tasted different.
