Larry King would have tried to make Cheney out to be a murderer. Brit did a fine job...and everyone else is so jealous of Fox's coverage!

Yeah, our recipe cards were made for 100 rations (portions) each. I still have my note book from the Bakeshop in Iceland, broke down for 500 to 800 rations.

Anybody up to mixin' up some sweetdough to make 800 sweet rolls for breakfast???

Can you just imagine this poor little sailor standing over a huge bowl with one of the little hand-held sifters like I would use! LOL! I would guess that they had something bigger than that!

Look at the difference between what you posted & my recipe. Yours is almost what we served in the Navy, except that we used butter instead of fat.

Great! Hope it works for you..just substitute the hamburger and you're ready for dinner! ;o)

Be careful stirring it with that clipped wing!

We didn't "sift" the flour. We put the flour, along with all the dry stuff, let the mixer do it's thing, then start adding in the wet ingredients.
