VIENNA, February 15 (Itar-Tass) - Visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warns against imposing sanctions on Iran.
Sanctions, should they ever be imposed on Iran, will not help solve the situation, he said.
The International Atomic Energy Agency should continue its work to clear up questions over Irans nuclear activity in the past, Lavrov said.
It is necessary for Iran not only not to secede from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons but also to return to the negotiating table, Lavrov said on Wednesday.
We must create conditions for the presence of the IAEA in Iran and for Tehrans interaction with the Agency, he added.
We will press for the implementation of the decisions that are supported by China, the European troika, and the U.S., Lavrov said on Wednesday.
We must act together in order to get some result, he said.
What wrong MR FM afraid we find out Made in Moscow bumper sticker on those nuke material HMMM
Drunk Russian official alert!
Buying Iran some time, that is all I see.
They will. One way or another.
It's sad to think that the evil empire isn't dead. I had thought President Reagan had slain the beast.
How about outright bribery? Saddam did so, why not the Iranians? Here's the list of oil vouchers received by Russians:

Our beloved 40th President slashed off nearly all the heads of the Soviet Medusa, but like you - I fear that one of them has grown back, more potentially vicious than any of it's predecessors. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics may be dead and gone, but the Union of Sneaky Sly Russians is alive and well.
They are smarter this time. They have makeovers and professional images teams...but they are the same evil that threatened us before.
I do believe that there won't be any sanctions if the Russians excercise their veto power. Probably the best thing that could happen since that would allow us to put the U.N. back in it's box on the shelf and deal with Iran in our own way.
Sanctions, should they ever be imposed on Iran, will not help solve the situation, he said.
I have to agree with that completely. Blow them up. That's the only thing that will work.
He's right.
We should bomb them now.
Screw everybody!
I don't want anyone to die but I'm tired of arguing about common sense CRAP!
"Sanctions, should they ever be imposed on Iran, will not help solve the situation, he said."
Well, he got this part correct. Sanctions won't do a dam thing. All they'll do is create another oil for food program the opportunist' will skim from.
Didn't ANYBODY except for Iran learn from Saddam & Iraq?
I read the comments of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and I have no doubt he was authorizing a nuclear strike against Iran, should Iran fail to come to their senses.
Less caviar.
