Cheney's reaction regarding the Press was the same as Kennedy's, but that's about all. he got medical assistance, he informed the police and met with them. Teddy let his date die, sought out his lawyers, went to his hotel room and passed out for the night, and went to the police after the car was discovered and the body removed.

Their reactions were NOT the same in ANY way. As soon as the accident happened, Cheney and his staff called for medical assistance, which arrived within minutes. Shortly thereafter, less than an hour after the accident, they officially notified the police. First thing in the morning, they notified the press.

Kennedy, on the other hand, immediately went home after the accident. He did not notify rescuers, medics or the police. Twelve hours later, he called his lawyer. Then, they called the police. The whole time, the girl was left submerged in 8 feet of water in Kennedy's car. There is no similarity whatsoever.
