I can't remember how long it was from the time the Lewinsky story broke, to the day Clinton stood at that podium, shaking his finger at all of us, and proceeded to lie through his teeth. With Clinton, it wasn't a question of when he addressed the press, but whether what he said was the truth. I'm assuming that guy on Fox thinks that expediency in reporting something supercedes honesty and integrity.

Excellent observation, mass55th.

Jan. 19, 1998: Lewinsky's name surfaces in an Internet gossip column, the Drudge Report, which mentions rumors that Newsweek had decided to delay publishing a piece on Lewinsky and the alleged affair.

Jan. 21, 1998: Several news organizations report the alleged sexual relationship between Lewinsky and Clinton. Clinton denies the allegations as the scandal erupts.

Jan. 22, 1998: Clinton reiterates his denial of the relationship and says he never urged Lewinsky to lie. Starr issues subpoenas for a number of people, as well as for White House records. Starr also defends the expansion of his initial Whitewater investigation. Jordan holds a press conference to flatly deny he told Lewinsky to lie. Jordan also says that Lewinsky told him that she did not have a sexual relationship with the president.

Should be a great interview. Brit Hume is a class act, and he'll ask great questions without letting partisan attacks interfere with the facts.

The Republicans in Congress..that are up for reelection don't need Cheney to blame any losses on...they are doing a "good" enough job at screwing things up themselves..

NOW..would not be a good time to replace Cheney...we are at a crossroads with Iran...and Cheney is someone that Bush trusts...

IF...he were to step down for "political" reasons...it could HURT, more than help right now. Maybe after the 2006, elections..or we have a more stable Iran situation...but, Bush will NEVER let him leave for THIS reason...

I just might break down and do that tonight. May his pointy little head explode and the drool cover his chin.

FNC: Interview with doctors coming up on Whittington; don't know when specifically.

Brit Hume's questioning of Cheney will not be easy, it will not be softballs it will be fair. I will not be done for the purpose of vilification or exoneration.

It is a sad fact that(except for FOX News) there is not a single national corespondent for any TV Network, News magazine, large city paper or wire service who is not clearly a flack and a shill for the Democratic Party.

Tim Russert is an anomaly in the sense that he will ask tough questions of Democrats and on occasion press them with follow up questions; but his sympathies clearly lie with the Democrats and he clearly tilts his analysis to the left.

I was at a stop sign, looked both ways, started to pull out and a jogger was right in front of me. It's only because I was young and had good reflexes I didn't hit the guy. It makes me break out in a sweat that I'd ever cause anyone injury through negligence of mine.

A jogger who runs through intersections in front of stopped cars without making eye contact is responsible for his own fate. Don't beat yourself up.

Yes but will the VP cry? Because that's all that matters. Tears are pop-culture gold.

Seriously, I think the VP's stoicism is gold...and better yet it drives the devil's mad. (I'll overlook that FU remark to Leahy. The F'er deserved it.)

As another freeper says, victimhood (and tears) are like crack to the nation now. It's sickening.

The Oprahization of women is NOT a good thing and I avoid it like the plague.

He handled the Cheney interview after the incident during the photo session on the senate floor a couple of years ago very well.

I think we're going to enjoy this afternoon.

And ABC is airing tapes tonight with Saddam's voice planning WMD attacks against NYC and talking about how to hide WMD.
