Please take a moment to call the C-Span office to let them know you would like to see the Able Danger hearings today. The hearing starts at 2:30 eastern time today. It is not on their schedule and when I called C-Span they said they did not know if or when they would run the hearing. Then I called Congressman Weldon's office and they are baffled that C-Span is not running the hearing. I told Weldon's office I would put this thread up and hopefully enough people will call C-Span to encourage them to run the hearings live.

Weldon fighting hard to keep things open.

A witness that is not willing to do open session.
This should not be a surprise. Jamie Gorelick is involved in this Able Danger cover-up .. right up to her ears.
She's Hillary's pal - and ran the DOJ for the other incompetent idiot woman.
And .. since Gorelick has called Weldon's office and said, "I didn't do anything wrong". Weldon has said that she also called Specter's office TWICE and said the same thing. Weldon said, "nobody accused her of doing anything". I find that a very interesting piece of info.
So .. not only will Gorelick be terribly embarrassed but the Clintons will too .. and with Hillary wanting to run in 2008 - these revelations could be very damaging to her .. more so than Bill - who cares about him.

Weldon: I'm willing to stay here until midnight. It's patently unfair.

Witness: I'm aware of that.
Weldon: What info do you have that he met you?
Witness: I have Zilicoff's (?) account of terrorist attacks upon the United States.
Weldon: HOw many times did you try to contact him?
Witness: Twice.
Curt wants to stay til midnight.
Zelikow GAVE Shaffer his business card, yet Zelikow DENIES ever meeting Shaffer.
Unbelievable that Weldon is having to beg the chair to let the other witnesses testify! Says he'll stay until midnight if necessary!
That's not easy, it adds considerably to the difficulty of the effort, thus limits effectiveness of the bad actors. AND be so doing that itself creates remarkable activities and pattern -- albeit at more local levels.

I agree .. much more obvious.
And when a member of the press asked Curt if Bush was trying to keep this quiet .. Curt said, "absolutely NOT".

Weldon: They never contacted you again?
Witness: Correct.
Weldon: Col. Shaffer - have you been harrassed in trying to tell the truth.
Shaffer: Correct. Many times.
Weldon: And your lawyer is here and can refute the charges against you?
Shaffer : Yes.
Weldon: Put documents in record that refute charges to Shaffer.
Shaffer: We had operation capabilities which could have penetrated the organization and could have helped the FBI and helped prevent 9/11.
All witnesses are so testifying to that statement.
Weldon: What's your response to the 9/11 Commission saying that ABle Danger is insignificant.
Witness: They never sought info to find out what happened on the ground. The Commission was derelict in their duty and can't make that determination.
