Please take a moment to call the C-Span office to let them know you would like to see the Able Danger hearings today. The hearing starts at 2:30 eastern time today. It is not on their schedule and when I called C-Span they said they did not know if or when they would run the hearing. Then I called Congressman Weldon's office and they are baffled that C-Span is not running the hearing. I told Weldon's office I would put this thread up and hopefully enough people will call C-Span to encourage them to run the hearings live.

After what's already happened to Lt. Col Shaeffer, he'd be a fool not to have counsel. If you've watched many hearings, everyone who goes before congressional hearings to testify always has counsel.
My guess is they aren't allowing him to have counsel in the closed hearings because of classified issues, but that's just a guess.

I called Isakson and Chambliss office...
they wanted to know WHY he was being denied counsel....
I said "Because he working to PROTECT American lives, not behead them...." They weren't sure how to respond to that....
anyway- I told them- "Please quote me. 'I DEMAND HE HAVE COUNSEL AT ALL TIMES AND PROTECTION FROM ANY AND ALL RETIBUTION AND ATTACKS UPON HE AND HIS FAMILY!'"

That's *scary*. This is why I always always ALWAYS make backups. ALWAYS! Sorry, it's called discovery, and I'll do just about anything to save my own arse. How on earth could he be denied that access... well, he's being denied legal counsel, too. Something STINKS!

I realize that and have stated that I'm trying to find Zaid's phone number so we can call to find out exactly why he's being denied councel in the closed session.
I'm just wondering why Levin's name is being interjected in this thread & whether or not he's offered to provide legal councel as well...

Whoa.. Critical witness for closed session that has an appointment at 6:00 at the White House.
Weldon: Trying to get information on the public record; they have approval to get the bulk of what they want to say in open session. Go into closed session if that's your desire but then come back in open session and let the American people hear what they have to say.

Have to go into closed session now as there is a "critical witness" who has to go back to the White House by 6:00pm.
Weldon wants to make sure that they will then come back to open session.
