Turk-made film shows U.S. troops as brutal

A Turkish-made film that portrays American soldiers in Iraq as brutal and callous killers is setting attendance records in Turkey and has just opened throughout Europe. From the opening seconds to the dramatic conclusion, the movie, "The Valley of the Wolves - Iraq," portrays Americans as wearing the black hats.

In one scene, an American doctor, played by American actor Gary Busey, is furious because troops keep killing Iraqi prisoners before they reach the Abu Ghraib prison. The doctor's problem? If the Iraqis are dead, he can't harvest their organs to send to Israel.

The movie, the most expensive production in Turkish film history, has been a runaway success in Turkey since it opened Feb. 3. Would-be viewers must wait weeks for tickets. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to Turkish press reports, recommended the film to friends after a private screening. His wife noted, "It's a beautiful film."

It's not clear how well the film will do in its Europe-wide release. No weekend box-office figures are available. Theaters showing the film in Berlin were packed, managers said, but much of the crowd was of Turkish descent. The movie has yet to be released in the United States.

American military officers have advised troops in Europe to avoid theaters showing the film and not to discuss it with strangers.

"This movie isn't about how horrible Americans are," said Beyhan Haci, 60, a Turk who has lived in Germany for years. "It's about the horrible mistakes the American government has made in Iraq."

Analysts in Turkey say that attitude isn't prevalent there.

"American soldiers are the bad guys around here, no question," said Sedat Laciner, the director of the International Strategic Research Organization in Ankara, Turkey's capital.

In the most expensive Turkish movie ever made, American soldiers in Iraq crash a wedding and pump a little boy full of lead in front of his mother.

They kill dozens of innocent people with random machine-gun fire, shoot the groom in the head, and drag those left alive to Abu Ghraib prison -- where a Jewish doctor cuts out their organs, which he sells to rich people in New York, London and Tel Aviv.

"Valley of the Wolves Iraq" -- set to open in Turkey on Friday -- feeds off the increasingly negative feelings many Turks harbor toward their longtime NATO allies: Americans.
<...>
Advance tickets already are selling out across Turkey for the film, which has dialogue in Turkish, Arabic, Kurdish and English. In addition to Turkey, the film is set to be shown in more than a dozen other countries -- including the United States, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Britain, Denmark, Russia, Egypt, Syria and Australia.

I think I'll send info about this little gem of Jewhatred to my buds in Hollywood, so they will know what Billy Zane and Garey Busey are all about.

Turk-made film shows U.S. troops as brutal 4 years ago we were looked at as weak and the US was a paper tiger. I prefer the new image.

American actors participating in Nazi-style propaganda against Jews and Christians, now that's a shocker.

It's time to burn down their Hollywood house, and set up the gallows.

I think it's time we did a film about the brutal treatment of Kurds in Turkey. Also one about the Armenian genocide.

The movie's American stars are Billy Zane, who plays a self-professed "peacekeeper sent by God," and Gary Busey as the Jewish-American doctor.

Asked if he thought the film was anti-American, Zane (raving asshat, anti-American asshole and traitorous weasel, ed.) said: "This screenplay is not against my country's people... I am doing this movie because I am a patriot. I'm against all wars, because wars don't have happy endings."

God I luuuv when Hollywood liberals talk about war, it smells like fresh cooked bacon in the ass end of the morning. Of course Billy (pats head) wars are bad. I'm sad we saved the Jews in WWII myself, why sure I am you raving ego-maniacal goon! Though you should feel proud of seeling out the Vietnamese, it was your side's shining moment, long time ago though, wasn't it?

Gary Busey and Billy Zane have been paid money to act in an anti-American propaganda piece during a time of war?

More Hollywood weirdos to boycott. Busey has never recovered from his head injuries. The Turks need to review their own military activities of late. They stand behind only the Koreans for brutality to enemies, not that that is a bad thing.

Anti-semites pay a price in Hollywood, if word gets out. Perhaps the word will get out. :)

Well, its apparent the Turk's must invent fiction to smear the US and preserve their perceived 'honor' (giggle) - there's obviously no way to be reasonable with people who believe a lie is beautiful.
Two words for ya Turkey: Armenian Genocide.

Gary Busey is a nut. What in the world is he doing in a movie like this? He is just totally flipped out. I saw him interviewed months ago about another movie he had made, and he made no sense at all. The interviewer was obviously in pain and couldn't wait to get it over with.

"If the Iraqis are dead, he can't harvest their organs to send to Israel."

At the risk of hitting the nail on the head, I now agree with the phrase:

Sand Nazis

This incendiary portrayal is spot on for the Nazi Party. That the film is a hit in comparatively secular Turkey bodes ill for the more barbaric Muslims South and East of there.

Remember that Turkey is the country that refused to help when it was time to get rid of Saddam. Burn in hell.
