If Sen. John McCain runs for president in 2008, fellow Republican Susan Collins of Maine will serve as one of his Senate advisors.
A spokesman for Sen. Collins confirmed that McCain asked her if she would be one of his advisors if he decides to seek the White House. The spokesman, Kevin Kelley, said Collins told McCain that he would.
The Arizona senator is regarded as a likely potential candidate for the Republican nomination.
There are many factions of those one-issue types. Illegals, religion, abortion, guns, WoT, free trade, you name it, if you don't support their cause 100% they are out of here. Frankly, I think many are Democrat moles trying to foment discontent within the party.
I don't know about this. Picking a transexual as an advisor won't go over very good with the mainstream.
You saved me the trouble. I was reading the entire thread before posting to see if anyone else had caught that.
Possible? Yes. Likely? NO!
At least I will not vote for McCain.
Abortion is a reality and remains the one issue that I will not compromise on.
But I really think there is a bit of a double standard here.
Those are all your comments. Do you not see the contradiction?
McCain will take more votes from Hillary or any other Dem candidate than he will from a Republican.
McCain, like any other presidential candidate, will probably have dozens and dozens of advisors.
Hillary will probably ask pro-life Casey to be one of 50 advisors (IF.... he beats Santorum).
McCain will take more votes from Hillary or any other Dem candidate than he will from a Republican.

My sister, a die-hard democrat, told me that the only republican that she would ever vote for is McCain. She watches the msm to get her news and they have sold her on McCain. The republican base, especially anyone who supports free speech, will NOT be swayed by the MSM's support of McCain (their candidate). So yes, Hillary will lose more votes to McCain than any republican if he decides to run third party.
It's a joke.
The MSM is tweaking Pubbie voters AND GOP by trying their best to coronate "maverick" McCain....Exactly because he is so divisive a GOP character.
We are about to see the extent of the power of the media to manipulate and indoctrinate public opinion AND the GOP. (This is where years of public schooling helps)
And then at the 11th hour, they'd turn on him and stir the pot in the opposite direction. Even Chrissy Matthews will turn on McCain.
The beauty of the Internet: Exposing the MSM's overt complicity with the Democrats.
