Oceanview is the ultimate knee jerk reactionary on FR. The media and liberals scared him to death and he overrate them beyond belief. Of course he never takes in consideration why the liberals and their media are constantly losing one election after another, this is an insignificant event for him.

Liberals on the net are calling for Cheney's head- and put inn jail for murder.

Looks like some here are skating on the edge of that. But I think it's just for the titillation and attention. Hope so anyway.

With you it is not little fear it is the ultimate chicken little. I hope you are not like that on the professional level because you will be in big trouble.

so long as you continue to be comfortable winning by small margins, and ceding all the sheeple's minds to the media, you can carry the mantra of being the eternal optimist.

I'll play the contrarian card.

like I said, let's all hope this guy comes out of the hospital real soon, moonwalking up to a podium in front of the press.

It looks like they have done that

Yes, that's obvious. But oceanview wanted you to know that he is REALLY REALLY concerned that this man might die a horrible, painful death and that Cheney would then face a criminal indictment and perhaps even have to resign the vice presidency or be impeached if he won't step down. Because that's what happens when you're a torturer like Dick Cheney and you have no regard for human life and your only friends are Halliburton plutocrats and Big Oil executives. / sarcasm

You really do love the msm, eh? Why should we hope this man has to hold a feeding frenzy press conference?

Because that was just enacted this year. In fact, Cheney paid twice for his $125 license because he already had that license. It was a mistake by the local Texas office, not Cheney, but he took responsibility for it anyway. He paid the $7.

And that's my point. I'm not taking a shot at Cheney (so to speak), I'm making a legitimate complaint about the government regulation involved in hunting, particularly hunting on private property. Like nearly all other things, it is over-regulated and keeping within the law at all times is nearly impossible because there are too many laws.

From what I understand he was originally treated at a local hospital (Kingsville Hospital) and then transferred to another facility (CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Memorial in Corpus Christi).

a little fear is good sometimes.

Think of FDR's comments at his first inauguration and calm down. (Yeah, I know...FDR...ick...but it's an appropriate truth.) This IS war...on more than one front. Don't let the enemy see you being afraid or you've already lost the battle.

because that will serve to belittle the press, if he trots out to a microphone looking like George Hamilton and says "I'm the man Cheney shot". yes, its spin, so what, that's the game.

Whoa.

Scairy thought. We are edging up to the show "24". Scairy because its not a totally ridiculous idea and its scairy to me that now I even could vaguely consider that as a possibility for a Democrat.

It's like a disease, this endless taxing and "fee" charging. And it will never, ever end. When someone who campaigns for reform gets in they suddenly see "the good" they can do.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington is not only one of the most popular films with politicians, it's the most insidious. And it shows in its corny way just how it's done--One Man Makes A Difference...with other people's tax money.

Cops are considered revenue sources for writing tickets, "processing fees" at the social security administration mean you get charged $40 for someone to fill out a simple form and give you a small piece of paper in return.

And everyone--even our favorite republican politicians--goes into government and takes a hunk of that pie for "their constituents to get their share". And others want a bigger share. So that pie gets bigger.

Call me a pessimist, but the ballooning of federal tax-and-grab policy will only collapse, it won't be deflated. I just hope that collapse isn't too painful.
