Today President Bush welcomed the 2005 NCAA National Champion University of Texas Longhorns football team to the South Lawn at the White House, where he congratulated the team and coaches with great humor and warmth.........and a lot of Texas pride! Later in the day, he welcomed members of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation in the Oval Office of the White House. The council, created by the USA Freedom Corps in 2003, promotes volunteerism and recognizes Americans who serve our communities and the world.
First Lady, Laura Bush visited the Giant Pandas at the National Zoo.
Today the news was released that Mr. Harry Whittington, who was accidentally hit with birdshot in a hunting accident with Vice President Cheney, had had a very mild, asymptomatic heart attack. He is being carefully watched and being treated conservatively, and is expected to fully recover. We need to keep Mr Whittington and Vice President Cheney in our prayers. The media are in a feeding frenzy, and are completely out of control.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island............ some wonderful photos today on the Daily Dose!! And a Happy Valentines Day to you all!!
David Gregory just did a major hack job on the NBC news
on the VP
Here is a reminder:
David Gregory's wife is Beth Wilkinson who was an assoc.
to Jamie Gorelick in the Clintoon Justice Dept.
"The only positive thing about it, is that it's eating them all up inside, and they are shriveling like the Wicked Witch of the West right before our eyes."
There's no doubt about it, and I think they know it and that's why they're in such a senseless frenzy.
Good Evening snugs, Thanks for the "Dose"
Ohio did it this evening Mike
I think you're right, snugs. The VP is as solid as they come and they can't get him to say anything against Bush or his policies. He comes out making stronger statements than the President does on some things, and I think he does that so that he takes their zingers so the president doesn't have to. He's one of the best VPs ever.
It's just unfortunate this had to happened, as it's not over anything important at all, other than the fact that a man was injured. But it has no bearing on policy, the war on terror, or anything like that. It's just something they thought they could get him on, and even after realizing they can't, it's like they can't stop themselves from still trying.
OOPS, Thanks for the "Dose" OWF :-)
You go girl - Happy Valentine's Day!
You're exactly right ... it really seems like this is a fight between good and evil on many fronts. The left is grasping for straws to find something against the Bush administration and keep coming up empty which makes them even angrier, as you said.
Vince Young was SO embarrassed about not having a suit.
The President did a good job of putting him at ease.
(medical care, privacy for the man who as shot, police informed asap)
^^^^^
It seems that even doing things correctly infuriates the haters.
ROFL. That's funny. I know how it is! Funny part is, I don't care!
We officially made a pact not to celebrate Valentine's Day when we started dating. We just get each other gifts for no reason when we find the right thing. Saves moneymeans more!
LOL.
Holy Cow that town is inbred. Blech.
