I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.

It's only a matter of time before we hear some CNN pundit gravely yet gleefully speculate on criminal charges.

ABC News is already comparing Cheney to Aaron Burr, who deliberately shot Alexander Hamilton in a duel.

I just got home a short while ago and was listening to Leon Panetta saying how the V.P. needs to make a public statement in front of the press and say how sorry he feels over what happened. Aren't we still waiting for Bill Clinton to apologize for his behavior and for lying repeatedly to the American people, committing perjury, and just plain being an a-hole?

Panetta needs to sweep in front of his own doorstep before setting down mandates for V.P. Cheney.

They should talk to a cardiologist, and hopefully they will.

If he had a mild heart attack his cardiac enzymes/markers will have been elevated. Then the EKG's will show what damage there is and changes in his rythym.

If the irritation remains (the buckshot) it's a problem.

I think the white house really should take hold of this story and make some sort of statement, if the family is willing maybe jointly.
