I know there was a previous post on this, but this article is a follow-up to that one. Frankly, this is an outrage and just shows the depth to which our institutions have sunk. Frankly, I hope some FEMALE Marine gets the opportunity to pimp-slap this bimbo just for being an idiot! (As a Southern Gentleman, it wouldn't be appropriate for a MALE Marine to do it!)

As a UW alumni, I'm totally digusted at my former school today.
Why in the hell is the student politburo in charge of approving something like this?
I'm sure Ashley Miller will be elected Senator for Washington State in the near future. The democrats are probably grooming her to replace Patty Murry when the time is right.

Men like Pappy Boyington will look pretty good to Jill Edwards when her right to make an ass of herself is threatened.

For what it's worth ... Pappy Boyington had a reputation for being a total horses ass. Not that I agree with the University of Washington ... in large measure because I served in the Marine Corps. Also, on the wall of my den is a photograph of 'The Black Sheep Squadron' with several signatures from members of the squadron. However, in spite of being a MOH recipient, Pappy didn't have many admirers amongst those that served with him, or knew him in later years.

Student senator Jill Edwards, according to minutes of the student government's meeting last week, said she "didn't believe a member of the Marine Corps was an example of the sort of person UW wanted to produce."

Some irony in the fact that Boyington was captured by the Japanese and tortured and abused by his guards to the point where his bones were broken. Today abused POW's are heroes in the leftist eyes.

If I were a war hero, I would not want honor of any kind on that campus....even if it were my alma mater. I was born and raised in the northwest - school WSU. There are days like this I would not mind if the NW just dropped out of sight one day (save for our FReepers, mind you). And to be further petty, I was not sad when the Seahawks lost the Super Bowl - it was just as well that these kind of people in Seattle didn't have anything to smile about. Other than that, I didn't have a dog in the Super Bowl. /rant over No, it's not - this makes me furious and sad at the same time.

Student senator Jill Edwards, according to minutes of the student government's meeting last week, said she "didn't believe a member of the Marine Corps was an example of the sort of person UW wanted to produce." In which case, I'm not sure I believe that Student senator Jill Edwards is an example of the sort of person UW should produce.

In war, killing is a necessary evil. ... But I do not believe our honor of him should focus upon the evil, regardless of how necessary. Instead it should focus on his heroism, courage, and all that he endured for his country. by Karl D. Smith.
I wonder how one becomes a military hero without, in one way or another, killing the enemy.

...owes her liberties and her freedom to the brave men and women of the United States Military. She is beyond contempt for making such a statement.

You have to expect this from the Commie wannabes, drug addicts, homosexuals, cross dressers and pedophiles at UW. These maggots are so braindead that they don't even have a clue who Boyington is.

Say, Student Senator Jill, did you bother to ask the student body -- whom you supposedly represent in that democratic organization -- what they think about the memorial...or is this your fiat, thrust upon them from your dictatorial throne?
Yep, put it to a student vote, you chirping little bird.
Whatever happened to your slogan: "I WANT MY DEMOCRACY NOW!!!"
