Liberalism is even more dangerous than Multiculturalism. You should see what a liberal planning officials can suddenly do to a peaceful little valley that for 100 years had no finance problems, crime, congestion or pollution once they gain power.

Multiculturalism has ALREADY mortally wounded several nations, and has seriously wounded America.

Canada is a good example ! Every one group - no matter how small - has the rights of the majority. Consequentially, nothing significant gets accomplished until ALL the many small minority groups buy in.
It is like herding cats!
What ever happened to majority rules?

"The lesson of the Muhammad cartoon controversy is: Multiculturalism between nations is inevitable, but multiculturalism within nations is disastrous."
That is why we have nations. So cultures and ethnic groups can live in peace in their our culture.

For the West, broadly speaking, the highest value is freedom For America the whole idea is commerce.

Like a strong and functional family, a strong nation is made up people and groups that share similar values.

This is BS. Show me a nation with one unique culture throughout and I'll show you a country ruled by fascists. We wouldn't have cowboys in TX without the influence of the Mexicans. We wouldn't have Mexicans if the Spanish and Aztecs had kept to themselves.
Who would be invited to stay in a monocultural nation approved by you, anyways? People who listen to rap music? People who eat perogies? What about people who celebrate Yom Kippur?
The primary lesson we should take from these riots has nothing to do with the destructive effects of "multiculturalism" and everything to do with the destructive effects of violence. Violence within a nation destroys it. Cultures that can live along-side one another peacefully and can intermingle peacefully enrich their nation... not destroy it.

"It's time for all of us to recognize that different cultures have different values. For the West, broadly speaking, the highest value is freedom, including freedom of religious expression. But for the Muslim world, the highest value seems to be Islamic piety. To draw such a distinction between West and East is not to endorse cultural relativism; it's simply to take note of cultural reality."
I agree with most of this, however I would not be so shy in endorsing cultural relativism. All one needs to judge a culture is a criterion. In the end the criterion that counts is which one is going to survive.
Anytime you have two cultures in contact with opposing fundamental values you are guaranteed a conflict. The resolution is either separation or one dominating the other.
I'm putting my money on us, even if sometimes we seem to have a suicide wish. There will soon come a time when our apathetic masses will finally wake up, and that's when the battle is engaged.
Now if they were smart, they would lay low and just keep sending people over here until they have a majority. At that point they could take over democratically. Then we either abide by their rules or have a civil war.
