Lance Armstrong vs. Sheryl Crow: George W. Bush to Blame?
The National Ledger ^ | February 12, 2006 | Tina Simms

Posted on 02/14/2006 6:16:50 AM PST by mcg2000

Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow have said all the right things so far as the speculation for their break shifts gears. One tabloid even examines that it may be President George W. Bush's fault as Lance is a Bush fan while Sheryl is a Bush basher.

The Star details that a friend of the singer said they knew the bust up was coming.

"Sheryl said Lance didn't just support Bush, - he'd go off and fight if the President asked him too.

Bush and Armstrong in Aug 2005

Recall Crow sported a "War is not the answer," tee-shirt last July and Lance answered by biking with Bush in August of 2005. (photo left)

Other theories from Keeping Tabs:

--"Lance dumped her," Us says plainly, and most of the tabs agree.

--InTouch says the cyclist has tried to end the relationship four times since September.

--The Enquirer says he's always had cold feet.

***

The 'Bush did it' is classic. Some folks will blame Bush for anything.

Well, it was in September, right after he went riding with the President that he started trying to get out. Makes enquiring minds want to know what he and the Pres talked about during that ride.

Actually, he's probably indicating, he's eaten enough crow over taking up with a liberal.

"Lance dumped her," Us says plainly, and most of the tabs agree.

What I can't figure out is why he was dating her in the first place. I thought he was smarter than that.

Personally I take no joy in seeing them break up. Nobody is perfect-Sheryl may be a good person with misguided politics and Lance may just an sob-who knows. At least she still seemed to love him regardless of his liking the President-something mist libs would never do.

I just caught this. I noticed Armstrong's friendship with Bush being discussed on the blogs today. Later today I may have to go back to all the old Armstrong threads just to open up old wounds...

heh

He dumped his wife for her. Neither can be trusted.

Sigh.

I don't think there has EVER been a Lance Armstrong thread that this falsehood has been left out.

He separated from his wife in September (after a well publicized break up/reconciliation the year before) and only met Crow in October or November.

He's a great athlete, may or may not be a good person, but he cannot see the future.

I know... tiresome isn't it? At this point, I just chuckle, roll my eyes and put it out of my head. I guess it's true what they (commies, RATs, the Klintoons, et al) say: Repeat a lie often enough until it becomes a "fact". ;-)

There is no way I could ever date, much less marry a liberal.
