Lance Armstrong vs. Sheryl Crow: George W. Bush to Blame?
The National Ledger ^ | February 12, 2006 | Tina Simms

Posted on 02/14/2006 6:16:50 AM PST by mcg2000

Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow have said all the right things so far as the speculation for their break shifts gears. One tabloid even examines that it may be President George W. Bush's fault as Lance is a Bush fan while Sheryl is a Bush basher.

The Star details that a friend of the singer said they knew the bust up was coming.

"Sheryl said Lance didn't just support Bush, - he'd go off and fight if the President asked him too.

Bush and Armstrong in Aug 2005

Recall Crow sported a "War is not the answer," tee-shirt last July and Lance answered by biking with Bush in August of 2005. (photo left)

Other theories from Keeping Tabs:

--"Lance dumped her," Us says plainly, and most of the tabs agree.

--InTouch says the cyclist has tried to end the relationship four times since September.

--The Enquirer says he's always had cold feet.

***

The 'Bush did it' is classic. Some folks will blame Bush for anything.

Hahha, my husband took the risk too. It only took me 15 years to come around. Our 13 year old son said, "What took you so long, Mom?" Hahah. I was not a rabid lib, tho. But I sure am a rabid conservative.

I meant to say, "Sort of hard to marry a rabid Bush hater when you like the guy."

Is Lance truly a Bush fan, I wonder? I thought I read right here on FR, that he was a Democrat.

I heard the same thing.

I have always believed that those two stay together because Carbile doesn't really believe what he spouts on TV and in print. I think he is merely a cynical professional who will say anything his employers (DNC, Clintons, et al) ask of him if they pay him enough.

I can just hear them. Mary: "James, how can you keep saying that crap on TV?" Carville: "Aw, hell, Mara, Ah don't believe that sh**! But it shaw pays da bills, don't it? You like all dem jools an' fanca caws ah buy wid it, doncha?"

He could go back and try his original wife, the one who nursed him through his cancer....

Lance actually met his former wife after his cancer battle. The woman you see with Lance in the hospital photos is either his mom, a nurse, or some other friend or family member.

It's all because of that damned weather machine.

It's screwing up everyones lives, and Bush paid for it out of embezzled FEMA funds.

8-)

"Marrying a liberal is no fun."

True. Liberals are for having sex with in college.

(Joking, kind of)

I heard that Lance decided he'd rather ride his bike ... it had fewer miles on it.

OUCH - That had to leave a mark :o) Good one

It's hard to soar with eagles when you're flying with turkeys.

I have a feeling Lance got tired of the peck, peck, peck.

When you are the President and your country gets attacked twice in 9 months (don't forget what the Chinese did in the Spring of 2001), you have to set priorities quickly. I shudder to think what a President Gore would have done after he'd poked enough chads to steal an election.

I bet that's a great story. I wish someone would write a book with stories of Liberals coming to their senses. I don't think you'll find many conservatives converting to liberalism.

I agree .. and I've been expecting this to happen.

When you know Bush personally, as Lance does, you know the rabid left is off the wall in their beliefs about him.
