Just 521 votes would have given us a Gore presidency.

And al-Qaeda a victory.

"One can find some degree of empathy for Al Gore."

Maybe someone can but this one can't. He's betrayed our country.

If he'd carried his home state those 521 votes wouldn't have mattered.

Thank You, Tennessee.

With all the Democratic fraud nationwide, I'm not convinced Gore won the popular vote.

If this were the early 1940s Gore would be in prison.

When a candidate has lost the presidency by a mere 520 votes, it could well have an emotional and psychological effect on his personality.

I no longer agree with this contention. Gore should have been magnanimous, like Nixon was to Kennedy, and we would not have the rancor we have experienced over the past 5 years. Gore had a chance to show class and didn't have the grace to do it. It's time to stop making excuses for him.

Popular vote my ass.

If it hadn't been for NBC calling FL early and discouraging panhandle voters, plus vote fraud nationwide, Gore would have been soundly defeated.

Keep in mind that Gore also originally conceded until his bosses urged him to challenge the results.

Gore's Confusion

Somehow, the words "Gore" and "Confusion" seem to belong together, perfectly.

"However, this week he told a Saudi audience that the United States has committed "terrible abuses" against Arabs."

Holy cr*p, if that isn`t treason I don`t know what is. Let`s look at the definition:

Treason:

"In law, treason is the crime of disloyalty to one's nation. A person who betrays the nation of their citizenship and/or reneges on an oath of loyalty and in some way willfully cooperates with an enemy, is considered to be a traitor. Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treason

Reminds me of when Ted dunko Kennedy declared to the world that the Iraq invasion was a farce.

take solace my friends, the greatest curse on Gore is that he IS Gore. Let him blather on foaming at the mouth. His bellowing of environmental doom recall preachers of old that predicted judgment day imminant. His betrayal of Americas heros only alienate more voters from the dems.
The Dean Dream Scream Team just keeps giving. Gore is a founding member.

I could care less about that fool Gore.

If he'd been elected we might all be bowing to Mecca, instead it's Gore who gets too.Let him, he's driving another nail in the Dem coffin.

The former vice president also said the tougher standards the State Department now has for handing out visas "was a mistake."

I think the standards for passports should be tougher. In effect taking Gore's away from him.

"Just 521 votes would have given us a Gore presidency."

'Course, if they (Florida) had allowed the absentee vote from their military peop;le to be counted, the margin would most likely have been decidedly larger.

Also who knows how many of those ballots were altered or otherwise relegated to the phony bin because of people like that democRAT party official caught driving around with a ballot-punching machine in the trunk of his car.

We'll never know just what the actual results of that Florida vote were.

However, this week he told a Saudi audience that the United States has committed "terrible abuses" against Arabs. After 9-11, America began "indiscriminately rounding up Arabs" and held them in "unforgivable (prison) conditions." The former vice president also said the tougher standards the State Department now has for handing out visas "was a mistake."

Does anyone have the contxt of his speech / remarks?

Fifteen of the 19 hijackers on 9-11 were Saudis, so the government should be very careful in approving any more Saudi visas. A number of Arabs were rounded up after 9-11 and most were found to be in violation of immigration laws. Usually, that is a misdemeanor but it became a serious matter after the World Trade Towers were attacked. The Arabs rounded up were held in routine prisons under the same conditions as other inmates. Almost all were given written notice of their charges within 30 days. (A courtesy many other governments — including the one in Saudi Arabia — would not have bothered with.)

Gore hit a new low...
