Thanks for posting this. It just continues to show how much appreciation of our efforts by the Iraqis the MSM seems to cover up. It is seditious of them to do so.

In the Name of God the Compassionate and Merciful To the Courageous Men and Women of the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment, who have changed the city of Tall 'Afar from a ghost town, in which terrorists spread death and destruction, to a secure city flourishing with life. To the lion-hearts who liberated our city from the grasp of terrorists who were beheading men, women and children in the streets for many months.
To those who spread smiles on the faces of our children, and gave us restored hope, through their personal sacrifice and brave fighting, and gave new life to the city after hopelessness darkened our days, and stole our confidence in our ability to reestablish our city.

If not seditious, and I tend to agree with you on that, it is certainly callous, cruel, and disrespectful of our troops.

I'm sure that Ted Koppel and Dave Marash (sp?) will be sweating day
and night to get out the real story like this when they get rolling with
Al-Jazeera.
And the coverage will be top-rate, thanks to help from folks at
The University of Missouri Journalism School, alma mater of Walter Cronkite
and Edgar Snow (apologist for Mao):

This reminds me of Gen. Patton's favorite psalm:
63 1 O GOD, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise
thee with joyful lips:
6 When I remember thee upon my bed and meditate on thee in the night watches.
7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I
rejoice.
8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the
earth.
10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.*
11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory:
but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
*It doesn't take a great Biblical scholar to realize that this means "We will chop your a## into dog food"

Patton has always been a favorite of mine. Thanks for posting his prayer.
I studied battle tactics years ago at the Army Staff College in Norfolk,Va.Patton was an absolute requirement of our instructors. You may be surprised, but Lee and Rommel were as well!

"Their savagery reached such a level that they stuffed the corpses of children with explosives and tossed them into the streets in order to kill grieving parents attempting to retrieve the bodies of their young."This letter is encouraging. However, it also points out that there is still a lot of killing needed to be done.
