Code Pink is asking for the publics assistance to overturn the Visa denials of two Iraqi women. The women applied for Visas in order to take part in a protest in Washington D.C. on March 8th. Code Pink describes the protest as:
A delegation of Iraqi and American women, including mothers who have lost their children in this war, will travel to Washington DC to pressure the Bush administration, meet with Congresspeople, hold public events and strategize for future actions. It will be an emotional and historic time, and we'd love for you to be there.
Once again Code uses double blind speech concerning the War in Iraq. They support our troops yet they call them murderers. They support our troops yet they protest in front of Hospitals. They support our troops yet they do not want them to recruit new volunteers. Its amazing that any Military Family falls for this type of hype.
Code Pink is asking for individuals to contact the State Department with a suggested prewritten plea to bring the women into the United States in order to demonstrate. It would be nice if family members would contact the State Department and request that special circumstances not be allowed in order to bring families into our country to protest. We have enough home grown extremist within our own borders without inviting people into the country just to protest
DC Chapter Ping
I think far too many people know who Code Pink is and what they represent for them to ever be effective at anything other than grabbing headlines.
That said, the squeaky wheel does indeed get the grease sometimes.
Amen. These groups love to import people to speak against our country on our own soil. I'm sure the State Department had a reason to deny them Visas. They need to hear that people do not appreciate bending the rules just for a protest.
Code Pink Ping
Can you guys and gals contact the State Department and voice your objections to Code Pink's attempts at badgering State Department to allow the importation of Iraqi women to join a Code Pink "Death to America" protest?
And if you have your own ping lists, can you ping them to this thread, too?
Thanks for catching this, ArmyMarineMom!
Thanks for the help and the bump.
I'll request some of my state GOP contacts to take action with me. You know Code Pink just uses these pathetic attempts as leverage when the organization is confronted with their horrid actions executed not in favor of our brave men and women.

Thanks. Code Pink has no shame.
They will use any one they can. That is why we go to Walter Reed. The thick heads on wtc911, jla, and Tpartyidiot will never understand.
Hey my fellow military family member!! A letter to the State Department has been sent!! Keep the home fires burning & the blue stars in the window!!
Thank you! I actually need to get a new banner. I've gone from 3 to 2.
Tell them we do not agree with importing protesters from Iraq.
Don't worry, those are the numbers they routinely post on press releases, so like Codi's number, you're calling their work number.
Hey, Iraqi women, if you are grateful for the right to protest ANYTHING, thank a US Serviceman or woman.
