I love this guy! Isn't he the one that did not support renewing the Patriot Act? He is one Senator that is in touch with his constituency and then some. I'm in MO, but I support him anyway. God Bless Oklahoma

I would love to see Tom Coburn, Mike Pence or George Allen as POTUS.

Everything I've read of him, I liked. I'd support him.

NO...it was Russ Feingold (D) that supported not renewing the Patriot Act.

If "we the people," would elect 50 more like him to the Senate, and 218 to the house it would not really matter who the POTUS was.

A fervent believer in term limits, he said he would leave after three terms, and did. He says he will serve at most one more Senate term.

How 'bout if the POTUS is Coburn?

Tom Coburn is the best thing to come out of Oklahoma since J. C. Watts.

The idea of bringing home the bacon is a euphemism for paying off their sugar daddies. You and I don't benefit, a least not much if at all, from the projects these guys bring home. The ones who benefit are the ones with a direct financial interest in the project. They either build it and make a ton, or it enhances the value of some near by property of theirs.

The Senate was supposed to be, and used to be, above all this petty politics. They were to be the deliberative body with the interest of the entire country in mind. They were to ride herd on the impulses of the money spenders in the House. That is why their terms, 6 years, is longer than a congressman or even the President.

T'aint that way any more. They just use their leverage and fewer numbers to be crookeder than anyone.

Tom Coburn doesn't care if you like him or not. Texas has Congressman Ron Paul, he doesn't care if Washington likes him or not, but I sure do.
