THE 12 cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed published by a Danish newspaper which have caused outrage in the Muslim world are to be used as a teaching aid in schools, an educational publisher said in an interview published today.
They may also be displayed in a museum.
"What is happening at the moment has so great a significance that you cannot brush them under the carpet," Peter Mollerup, head of the academic section of the Danish publisher Gyldendal, told the newspaper Politiken.
"It is essential that future generations know about these drawings," he said.
He said it was not Gyldendal's intention to provoke Muslims, and the cartoons would be displayed in the context of a painstaking study of the whole affair.
Sofie Lene Back of the Royal Library told Politiken that the caricatures were essential for history and "it would be bad historical practice to censure them".
Ervin Nielse, head of the Mediemuseum (media museum) in Odense in the centre of the country said he "did not rule out" one day displaying "these drawings that sparked it all off".
That's been planned for centuries.

No they weren't. This is just silly
Yeah, it may force them to accelerate their plans for world domination. LOL
Why is this entire thing one big shade of pre-WWII Europe to me.
It sounds like somebody is taking a chainsaw to a African killer bee hive!
The mozzies are gonna come unglued...I hope they act like the movie Mars Attacks! when they hear the cowboy singing...
green pulp!

Sure you can. Just watch how the network news journalists do it if you don't know how.
If the "moozies" don't settle down we are going to have to bring out the big guns and have the South Park guys do a number on old Mohammed.
This may have been posted earlier, but the (Denver) Rocky Mountain News posted the "Turban Bomb" sketch in its Sunday edition with a great editorial.

"The television cartoon South Park aired an episode on July 4, 2001 called Super Best Friends. In it, the founders of the world's great religions -- including Mohammed -- team up for super-hero action. Mohammed (seen here) is depicted repeatedly throughout the show. The entire episode can be viewed online here."
Wait a second here.
I thought the Danes only published 10 Cartoons and the Imams added two that they made up to make a total of 12 for the Arab press.
Which one was it?
anything we can do so show these lunatics for what they are helps the cause.
I hope this sparks more riots, people are starting to wake up.
And I hope artists start coming out of the woodwork with "piss mohammad" type art work to really tick em off.
Here's a copy of the original page of 'cartoons'. There are 12.
The extra three were frauds:

It is not just the 12 cartoons. There are three more fakes made up by the islamists to inflame the others!
