I picked your post to enter the conversation and wanted to interject a tangent. What if the power of religion and power of state have a settling out as terrorists and fanatics removed?

Everyone seems to be so "BLOW IRAN TO HELL" when we really know that is not a solution.

I want people to think more, instead of just react to emotion. Tooooooo much of that on the other side to go imitating them.

IIRC, you are stationed in the ME, and I respect and admire your devotion and courage, and knowledge.

Every time I see your screename I pray for your safety.

I see what you're saying and in fact, I get quite irritated with some of the knee-jerk, drama queen reactions to things I see on here.

I'm not in favor of this either (proximity notwithstanding) and get so annoyed at the armchair generals around here who seem to think nuking things or dropping daisycutters on them are the only ways to resolve them. I've tangled with quite a few FReepers who get their noses out of joint when I call them on this.

But, I can see a scenario where we might have to take those sites out. Might. I believe that ball is in Iran's court right now.
