PhotoShop help needed! Pierre PROSPER to run for CA Attorney General, or against Dianne Feinstein

O.K. Here's the deal.

I met with Ambassador Prosper last night, and he appears to be the PERFECT candidate to be California's new Attorney General, or possibly even to replace Dianne Feinstein as our Senator.
Either way, we will have a HUGE uphill fight -- since his is not yet a household name -- so we will need to generate as much FREE publicity as we can get, to help get the word out about this EXTRAORDINARILY well-qualified candidate.
One way to do this might be to get more name recognition by working with his non-traditional LAST NAME: "Prosper." In particular, I REALLY like the idea of linking him to Star Trek's Mr. Spock, whose trademark salutation, of course, is:
"Live Long, and PROSPER!"
What we need is someone with more artistic talent than I have -- to design a possible LOGO for Ambassador Prosper -- perhaps using an image like THIS one, from mario.lapam.mo.it:

Could some creative FReepers combine THAT image (above, with the Vulcan salute) with THIS face (below) from fpc.state.gov?

(Taking the cheap and easy way to comedy here.)

With a name like "Dick Mountjoy", he already has the gay and hetero woman vote in his back pocket!

(rimshot!)

Maybe we can make some campaign signs for him:

I'm all for...
DICK
MOUNT
JOY
!

(I'm now awaiting a phone call from the campaign inviting me to work for them...)

RonDog;

California is in the mess its in right now because of the White House. From Hispanic pandering to the Austrian pretender, California is up to its ears in a mess caused by moderation and the demonstarted unquenchable thirst for unprincipled victory by the Bush clan.

Please go peddle the Bush baby elsewhere. We already have Parsky and Schwarzenegger. We don't need more.

If the Bushs want to be helpful in California they can run their man against Feinstein and finance the run themselves.

Um, no. Remember who Bill Simon ran against... Bill Jones (what a winner he turned out to be) and media darling Dick "Loose Cannon" Riordan. Neophyte Simon was the best of the bunch, which may not be saying much, but that's the way it was.

Yes, Bill "Have You Seen Me?" Jones was practically annointed for the following race, even though Howard Kaloogian ran rings around Jones. California Republicans picked wrong.

Nobody has been annointed yet this go-around, other than the Governor of course... and there are some that are pulling for uber-RINOs Keith Richman and Steve Poizner.

So far, this is the best ticket Republicans have to offer unless some other names pop up...

Didn't Mountjoy enter as a challange to the CRP? An old man kicked dirt in their face and challanegd them to get a spine.

It's been reported that Mountjoy has said that he will withdraw if the CRP would sponsor a credible candidate.

Prosper might be that candidate if Parsky can mend fences with the CRP and Prosper is allowed access to the New Majority spigot.

It was looking like Feinswine might go uncontested, and Mountjoy stepped up to the plate. He did say that he would happily step aside if there was a credible challenger to The Swine.

Parsky needs to be tied up and put on a slow boat to China. As long as he's involved in California politics, there will continue to be this poison coursing through the veins of the Stupid Party.

It was looking like Feinswine might go uncontested...
What do you think about THIS scenario, from www.flashreport.org (12-28-2005):
5) Retired State Senator Dick Mountjoy will enter the Republican primary for U.S. Senate, following shortly by Minuteman Founder Jim Gilchrist who will re-register from AIP to Republican.

Suddenly, there will be a battle between the mainstream conservative movement (represented by Mountjoy) and the gadfly-nutty anti-immigration movement (represented by Gilchrist). While neither is likely to take out the Senator, this primary will have major impact on the GOP nationally...

The Denver-born Prosper, 42........

I thought he said he came with his parents from Haiti when he was 6?

I do not remember his exact words from last night, but from www.pierreprosper.com/biography.asp:
Born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in New York State, Ambassador Prosper is the son of physicians who emigrated to the United States from Haiti...

And, from www.legalaffairs.org:
Raised in Saratoga County, N.Y., Prosper was the son of two doctors who emigrated from Haiti in 1959. When Pierre was 2, the family briefly moved back to Haiti, and he spent every summer there until the end of high school...

Uh, what's "gadfly-nutty" about the anti-ILLEGAL-immigration movement? More power to 'em.

If Gilchrist enters the race, I'll have to give him serious consideration.

Intriguing Black GOP candidate in California.
Thanks for the PING, fieldmarshaldj!
Not sure how successful Ambassador Prosper will be in THIS race, as he has trampled on the toes of quite a few "status quo" Republicans in this state -- who have faulted him for not "waiting his turn" and not "paying his dues" in the California "good old boy" network -- which has been EXTRAORDINARILY UN-successful in recent elections here.
Plus, he has almost NO money raised, and very little local grassroots support - yet.
But, he comes VERY highly recommended by several of my GOP friends, and CONDI likes him.
And, he has CONSIDERABLE experience -- "on the ground" in Iraq, Afghanistan -- and Rwanda.

He has a French name because he's a native of Haiti.

I think he should run for AG.
