I may be way off...but the only thing that came to my mind when I was watching it was that it showed some equipment in the background...some computer screens..etc...I know on a sub they don't like that. Let me see what I can find out.

I just talked to my son and he says the only thing he can think of would be that - even though he thought it was funny himself - he said that the navy would not like that video because it shows navy guys goofing off, on a ship, and not doing their job...and the tax payers were paying for them...he said it would be considered tastless. Again, he said he has no idea for sure - but that is his take on it...

Let me see what I can find out.I happen to work with the equipment that it showed, and the guys were doing some pretty weird things with equpment that is quite sensitive to motion (won't go beyond that - loose lips). I got a kick out of it, but I could see some people getting upset about setting a bad example for treatment of the equipment.

Wish to heck I had saved a copy of this. Can't Google one up anywhere. It's astounding the Navy can disappear something after it's hit the Net like that. That's so 1984!

Is there a better link for this? I went to Google, plugged in several search words, and couldn't find it.

Goofing off? Tasteless? Oh please! I'd be worried if the guys on a sub WEREN'T goofing off sometime! It's good for morale and their mental health!

For everyone who watched it before it dissapeared, check your Temporary Internet Files. Might be in there...

I agree...this is not my son's thoughts...I just ask him if he had to guess why - if it was removed by the Navy's request...what would be the reason and that is what he thought may be the reason...He said him and his fellow officers have a blast at times on the sub...but again, I ask what he thought may be the reason and he was up front and honest as to what some people may think...as wrong as it may be....

Oh, I didn't mean to infer that either you or your son thought that. I was responding to those who think that Americans would think that. Now, we both know that there might likely be some sort of outcry by those who are anti military from the get go, but I think the majority of folks would see it for what it is, just a bunch of guys on a sub letting off steam, and having fun doing it.

Got it and totally understand and agree...I bet some group got a hold of it and complained....no one I talked to even had those thoughts in their head...they just enjoyed it! Did you notice how big the sailors were "smiling"...they were having so much fun and just grinning ear to ear....I loved it and sorry it's gone :(

Oh one other thing...they were on the USS Enterprise which is a carrier I believe(ship)...not a sub...they don't have that kind of space to dance around and swing your arms like crazy on a sub!

IMHO, it is much more likely that the leftist liberals that run google noticed it was getting a lot of hits and were afraid it might help recruit young folk who see that the military isn't all the left claims it to be.
Communoogle probably dropped it.

As I stated before, I work with one of the pieces of equipment that they were dancing around, and I thought it was pretty funny. A co-worker saw some stills from it, and his comment was "If their CO saw this, they're little piles of dust right now."
I'm sure the Navy takes a dim view of this kind of image of their sailors getting out on the internet, even though it is a hoot. Especially now, I think they want to promote an image of professionalism, responsibility toward the citizens they're protecting, and respect for the equipment purchased by the taxpayers.
Yes, we know they're human and need to blow of some superheated steam, but to some people, image is everything.

What you just stated is exactly what my son (navy nuc officer) said to me...you are just more eloquent in saying it than I was in relaying it...he too thought it was funny but stated the reasons it is gone to to probably being exactly the reason you stated if it was indeed the navy that got it canned. However, I do think Google could have axed it also...as stated above.

I have a mixed view. I can see why some in the Navy might be mad, but I can also see others rewarding these heros for a recruiting coup. Imagine all the teenagers who have now seen this video and think, hey, they are having fun and have made good friends. I think I will go talk to a recruiter.
As for the fragile equipment, can you make it a little tougher? It is meant to go to war! {just kidding}
I still think Google pulled the plug. The are the smartest bunch of "progressives" (aka, American/Capitalist haters) I have ever seen. Imagine how great they would be, if they could check their ideology at the front door.
