For the most part you could count on warfare somewhere in Spain for about 7 centuries.
Finally, the Franco-Hispanic knights got the upper hand and everybody was given a choice of becoming Christian or going away. Most of the Jews chose to convert, as did most of the Moslems.
Spain went on to other sorts of problems.
Mansur Escudero, head of the Islamic Commission of Spain, noted that major religions lived in relative harmony
"during the 700 years Muslims ruled Spain."
Hey Dipstick, that's because everyone else was a Dhimmi or dead!
"Let's not offend the Muslims but the Christians? Screw them!"
Scanderhoovians all over the place with just pockets of "regular Americans".
Every baby born in Malaysia is not considered Moslem.
There was a recent report of a young woman born there who wanted to convert to Christianity and was prevented from doing so by the government.
The same report explained that every baby born there is considered Muslim.
"This guy is an idiot.
Hey Dick, ya ever hear about Nazism or Communism?"
No he's not he has a point. This is the first time the assault is comming from a religion. It is a blind spot for us in the West because of our tradition of seperation of Church and state. Most still can't wrap their heads around the fact that Islam is as much a political system as a religion.
When it comes to people whose parents were Moslem, it's probably true they were considered Moslem from brith.
"Then, will the leftists say we should be more understanding of Christians, should not print things that can incite violence?"
No, because the fools on the left will always seek the destruction of Christianity.
The ACLU and NYT will always apply double standards. Their goal is the systematic removal of Christianity, while pushing the madness of Communism and fascism of Islam onto the average American.
I'll go with the report for now---it offered supporting information, which is more than your dogmatic statements do.
The time of "las tres culturas" that they talk about was under Alfonso X, a learned Christian king, in a reconquered part of Spain.
In Islamic parts of Spain, things were very uneven. Some of the Muslims softened up after contact with Christian and Jewish cultures, but they themselves were then conquered by more "orthodox" Muslim tribes from North Africa and other parts of the ME. But in general, things were bad for Jews (even Maimonedes converted to Islam briefly) and worse for Christians.
There have been efforts (successful to a degree) to make Sharia Law paramount in Maylaysia. However, that does not necessarily make Sharia Law applicable to non-Moslems there, or anywhere else.
The Christians won ~ was that bad for them to have done that?
I guess that is why the Muslims were thrown out of Spain after years of bloody battles. And, why Christians were less than second-class citizens of Spain while under Muslim rule.
Message to Mustafa: you ain't seen nuthin' yet.
What looms before us is the greatest conflict the world has ever faced - the Armageddon. It will be a bloodbath that makes the Holocaust pale by comparison.
As of yet, it remains unclear which side will win. The West has the power, but not the will. Islam has the will, but not the power; but that may change soon (message to Dubya: get goin' on Iran!).
Only one side can prevail. The other must be, WILL BE, vanquished - totally. We will see either the end of Islam, or the end of The West.
I know which side _I_ want to win. I'm I'm prepared to face the grim tasks necessary to achieve this end.

No, my point was that the time of harmony was under a Christian king. Under the Muslims, it was subjugation, sometimes less harsh and sometimes more harsh.
Muslims are all the rage in Spain now under Zapatero. Well, with the left. The rest of the population is less entranced.
