Tancredo Throws Punches at Bush
Human Events ^ | February 9 2006 | Robert B. Bluey

Posted on 02/09/2006 12:18:44 PM PST by Reagan Man

Rep. Tom Tancredo (R.-Colo.) didn’t hold back in his criticism of President Bush this morning at the Conservative Political Action Conference—delivering what amounted to a presidential stump speech that could have easily been delivered in New Hampshire or Iowa.

Tancredo attacked the administration for its support of a guest-worker program for illegal aliens and its big-spending ways on education and Medicare prescription drugs.

“It is the President who is out of step with his party, not Tom Tancredo,” the Colorado Republican said to applause at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Northwest Washington, D.C.

Tancredo called for the repeal of two programs offered by President Bush: the No Child Left Behind Act and the Medicare prescription drug program. Both expanded the cost of government and drew the scorn of conservatives in Congress.

Tancredo said the Big Government policies of the Bush administration need to be halted. He said conservatives must return the GOP to a “party of individual rights and shouldn’t afraid to say it.”

Whatever. Feel free to pretend you're not fleeing the field.

You are a hypocritical cretin, aren't you? You criticized him in one post for responding and you ridicule him now for living your dim self alone. Remarkable!

By "economy be damned" I meant that we need to toss out the illegals and then let the market self correct for the increase in labor costs.

Later

It's called "Principle over Power" -- an apparent foreign concept to the smoky backroom whores of the GOP

Alright, I bet you're just in seventh heaven with a great venue to disrupt republicans.

"Tancredo wrote his national political obituary when he spoke about "nuking Mecca"."

You seem to say that a lot. Are you a "Islam is a religion of peace" guy?

No problem...

if the market can't correct, well, it will correct one way or another. That's the beauty of an open market. Things will shift so that it all works.

have a good one.

"I love how he talks to Fox or Bush like they care anything about what he thinks. Oh, and this one is the best:
Tancredo Asks Where Alito Stands on Birthright Citizenship
Well, Senator Tancredo, I guess he won't be getting your confirmation vote then, will he?"

Only February and already a nominee for dumbest post of the year. It was a letter to Specter for one. Two, read Olympia Snowe's press releases.

What has the President done in 22 days to secure our borders and enforce current immigration law?

I mean really, was his term-limit promise made to his enemies, or to his constituents?

His constuents? If they felt betrayed, all they had to do was not vote for him. It's a politicians enemies who suffer for his unwillingness to limit his terms. And they had already set the stage. Tough luck for them.

Is this revelation new to you?

In case you haven't noticed, I rarely, if ever, respond to your posts. That's because I usually don't pay attention to your posts. Ever since I beat the crap out of you in a debate a few years back, you've been attacking me with mostly hit and run, ad hominem, juvenile outbursts. I couldn't care less. You never debate the issues. You are not a conservative. But you do hold a grudge and you whine like a new born child. All in all, you're one miserable creature.

Gee, what with being an expert on the border, how does Tancredo manage to spend time in Colorado?

Why should they feel betrayed, when you're ready and willing to explain to them how up is down, black is white, and lies aren't really lies if the guy next to you lies too?

how accurate could it have been? For all we know, Tancredo prevented the mega-volcano in Wyoming from erupting too!!

So what's you're explanation for why amnesty hasn't been going according to its pushers' schedule? Pinatubo?

By the way, who's the fool who keeps betting against you being called on your clueless statements?

"Why don't you tell your Senators?

Oh, that's right. Well, I guess illegals aren't such a big problem in California after all."

Because you get to maximize the disruption to the republican party is the more apropo reason.

If the GOP wants to avoid the disruption, all it has to do is heed the will of 75-80% of the voting population. And once it does, it can clobber the Dems. Pretty simple, huh?

I would be offended, if it weren't true.

There is a difference between a sychophant and a supporter.

I support our president, but he's wrong on these and a few other issues.

Too much "support" gave us Ford in '76, which gave us Carter. '08 is a clean slate and we shouldn't go down the Country Club Republican road again.
