Rep. Tom Tancredo (R.-Colo.) didnt hold back in his criticism of President Bush this morning at the Conservative Political Action Conferencedelivering what amounted to a presidential stump speech that could have easily been delivered in New Hampshire or Iowa.
Tancredo attacked the administration for its support of a guest-worker program for illegal aliens and its big-spending ways on education and Medicare prescription drugs.
It is the President who is out of step with his party, not Tom Tancredo, the Colorado Republican said to applause at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Northwest Washington, D.C.
Tancredo called for the repeal of two programs offered by President Bush: the No Child Left Behind Act and the Medicare prescription drug program. Both expanded the cost of government and drew the scorn of conservatives in Congress.
Tancredo said the Big Government policies of the Bush administration need to be halted. He said conservatives must return the GOP to a party of individual rights and shouldnt afraid to say it.

... when I come across your usual insult of Bush supporters.Nor am I surprised. As long as some folks recognize his attempts to divide, sure, let him carry on. I believe he wonders everytime he posts how he can embarrass Ronald Reagan. The hate must run deep.

You see amnesty yet? No? There's his accomplishment.
Can't stand it, can you?

Another one who's sore that Tancredo isn't playing by Queensbury rules. That's good - did you say that when Clintoon got caught lying, and then give a little golf clap and note how well played it was? Oh, wait, this is Tommy Tancredo, who says things we like to hear about immigration, so we need to give him a pass on minor little details like abiding by your pledges.
LOL - if I had one wish, it'd be to see a videotape of Tancredo kicking puppies show up. Not because I don't like puppies, or wish bad things on Tommy, but strictly because it'd be enormously funny to come back here and watch you rationalize that away too, explaining how we can't really hold it against him and so forth.

Unfortunately, he'll never get the chance. ...Which is exactly what stimulates Reagan Man's ulterior motive.

That's another $20.
I figured that you would try to hit me with either A) they are going to build a fence or B) They don't have amnesty yet do they?
I won again!!!
If I talk with you longer, I could make my house payment!!!

Maybe we should give Tancredo credit for preventing all the bad things that haven't happened. My house hasn't been attacked by flying fire-breathing dragons this year, and it's all thanks to Congressman Tom Tancredo. Vote Tancredo! It's got legs, I tell you what...

What you did with that post was to respond to the lure of a master baiter. He wanted you to respond with insults to our allies and fellow republicans. This is not what Ronnie would have wanted!

I think it was generally understood that his promise was made in the context of others making similar promises. When everyone else around him starts breaking those promises themselves, that changes the context immensely. If you made the promise thinking your enemies would do the same, and they pull the rug out from under you saying "Sucker!", what do you owe them at that point?

I wasn't giving you an "argument". I was just pointing out your delusion. Don't blame the messenger. No one can point out delusion legitimately without making a case.
"Denial ain't just a river in Egypt" isn't a case. It's not even an original thought, although I'll bet you can devise something equally stupid on your own.

Tom Tancredo is a good conservative and a loyal Republican. Tancredo is definitely raising the right issues --- reduce spending, limit govt bureaucracy and immigration reform. These are the areas where Bush and the GOP have failed over the last five years. Whether Tancredo can convince enough people he has what it takes to be POTUS, is an entirely different story. That includes this conservative. The way I see it, Newt and Tancredo are the only contenders who could be construed as actual conservatives right now. McCain, Rudy, Romney, et. al are all RINOS who would likely take our guns away and grant Miranda rights to al Qaeda. Just like the left-most Dems get the nod in the primaries, we need to select the most conservative candidate we can. Since Republicans are the only ones who respect the military and have no problem killing jihadis, whoever gets nominated will likely get the job. (Oversimplifying, I know)

... ike Buchanan, doesn't really want to be Prez, he just wants to raise campaign contributions. ... I don't think I agree. I see Tancredo wanting to be a lightning rod, and I like that. Let the ozone buildup and crack in misdirection.
