Democrats cast as party of 'angry left'

NEW YORK (AP) -- The Republican national chairman this week suggested Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is too "angry" to win the White House in 2008. And to hear Republicans tell it, Mrs. Clinton is just one of many Democrats with an anger-management problem.

Former Vice President Al Gore is angry. So is Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid. The party is held hostage by the "angry left."

In recent months, Republican operatives and officeholders have cast the Democrats as the anger party, long on emotion and short on ideas. Analysts say the strategy has been effective, painting Democrats' differences with the GOP as temperamental rather than substantive.

Leave it to the AP to push this as a Republican tactic; "The democrats aren't really angry, it's just another nefarious republican plot."

You're right. They're trying to blame us for noticing dems are a bunch of out-of-control hotheads.

What are we supposed to do? See the red faced screaming and temper tantrums and say "they're soooo cool, why can't we be coool like them"? What? They want us to act like the MSM? No one could be that blind ... well, without being nutty "true believer - drinkin' the kool aid" types. Sick.

Yonkers, NY – Senator Clinton has accused President Bush of downplaying the threat from Iran while accepting money from supporters of the Iranian regime. Wealthy businessmen Hassan Nemazee and Faraj Aalaei are associated with the American Iranian Council, a pro-regime anti-sanctions group. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Namazee has contributed $4,000 to Clinton's reelection while Aalaei has given $1,000. The press describes their lobby this way "the American-Iranian Council [AIC], a pro-regime lobbying group trying to get Congress and the Bush administration to lift the trade embargo on Iran." (Insight, 3/25/04) Hillary Clinton is also raising money from Gati Kashani, another figure linked with the Mullahs. On its website, the Iranian American PAC noted, "On Friday June 3rd, Iranian American friends of the Hillary Clinton Senate re-election campaign hosted a fundraising event in honor of Senator Clinton. The event took place at the home of Gita and Behzad Kashani in Los Altos Hills, California."

I agree with Dennis Prager. To call the Rats insane (or unreasonably angry) is to let them off the hook. Insanity or unreasonable anger can be treated. The real problem is that the Rats are morally rotten. But it may be that the "anger" theme works better with soccer moms.

The Republican Party has ridden several waves in the last 30 years that have carried the party into majority control of Congress and the White House. The first was the tremendous popularity of Ronald Reagan, who was rightly dubbed The Great Communicator. The second was the rise of the Christian Right and its network of activists, pulpits, and Christian radio and television. At about the time the Christian Right started losing some of its clout in the early 1990s, talk radio came along to galvanize conservatives, religious or not. Several years later, the Internet became a greatly favored means of communication.

For the first time since the decline and/or liberal takeover of the old newspaper chains like the Hearst and McCormick newspapers decades ago, there is a vast network of Web sites and radio talk shows touting the conservative line. The GOP had nothing to do with it (although the FCC under President Reagan abolished the ill-named Fairness Doctrine). Many Republican leaders are apparently still unaware of the change wrought in the media landscape.

Many Republican leaders are apparently still unaware of the change wrought in the media landscape.

Truer words were never spoken. I have said on many times the entire political template in this nation has permanently changed, mainly due to the MSM's loss of monopoly status mainly due to the Internet.

Sadly, while the grass roots activists have figured this out, I think the 'Rats know this better than the 'Pubbies. It explains their perpetual anger and rage, along with the 'Pubbies continuing to cowtow to the Dinasaur media.
