QALAT, Afghanistan - Police killed four people Wednesday as Afghans enraged over drawings of the Prophet Muhammad marched on a U.S. military base in a volatile southern province, directing their anger not against Europe but America. ADVERTISEMENT
The U.S. base was targeted because the United States "is the leader of Europe and the leading infidel in the world," said Sher Mohammed, a 40-year-old farmer who suffered a gunshot wound while taking part in the demonstration in the city of Qalat.

O, and, yea - Bush' fault.
This is why we have Cluster bombs.
The cartoons are the best thing that ever happened in the Muslim world in recent years----ever the victims, always the victims,a joy to be the victims.
Leader of Europe!?!?!? uh, no thanks.
I do however believe it is our 'infidelness' which makes us so hated.
If only we would use more of them on the "demonstrators" and "insurgents". And speaking of Code Pink,.....
"is the leader of Europe",.. If only we were, Europe wouldn't be such a mess.
Yawn ... mooslims are upset and want to kill us ... this is supposed to be news ??
True. Good comment. Thanks.
Shhh...Europe wants everyone to pretend they don't notice they're really a bunch of U.S.A.-wannabes. But thanks for the compliment about the leading infidel.
They haven't even begun to see cartoons yet.
So we're the 'leading infidel' in the world too?
Glad to hear that we're the best at that too. Poor euros can't catch a break. ROFL!
Bring it!!
strait = Dire Straits? lol!
Yes, I wish we started using them...
Agree. And this supposed attack on their prophet, not Allah, has united them for a change.
Islam? - click and watch what they do to people becasue of they're relgion
and this about cartoons?
:o|
The cartoon that depicted Muhammed turning back suicide bombers because heaven was running low on virgens was absolutely funny. There is no foil sharper than the political cartoon. Political cartoons use exageration to make their point and they really are wonderful albeit simple journalism.
The fact that Muslims don't see the irony in their violent reaction to basically being called 'violent' in a political cartoon is also very funny. We're not dealing with a very bright bunch of Muslims, are we?
Finally, where does anyone get off telling a free ress what it can or can not print--especially in some elses country? I see trashy papers on news stands all over trashing the jews, trashing the dems, trashing the GOP--some are even racists. However, I acknowledge their right to print it and my right to use it as bird cage liner.
The Muslims have much to learn about the 21st century....This round has been very unimpressive.
I, for one, won't be holding my breath on that whole "going to work thing".
I wonder what the founding fathers would think of what we had become...
