Which was worse, the drawings or the terror performed by Muslims over these abstract objects?
Is the UN and Europe going to denounce the violence and protesters of Islam?

No real need for an alert, most of Europe sold out in the late 1930's, then they realized what they had gotten into and waited for the Americans to come save their asses.

I dislike and distrust the press(local, national, and worldwide)and thought I could sit on the outside watching the monkeys hurl rotten fruit at each other. Most of the MSM has already capitulated(under the guise of multiculturalism) and now even the most useless of human non-governments capitulates with nary a whimper. I am certain that many progressives will rededicate themselves to understanding Islam more deeply to avoid any conflict. Too bad the evil known as Islam seeks conflict.

Not surprised. The UN is full of weasels and the EU has all the backbone of a slug.

Notice they are not rioting in the U.S.?Rioting, no, but biding their time until they feel free and secure to march with similar posters... then a few months later they'll know they can riot a any perceived "provocation". They cockroaches know that too many of us are just waiting to see some of those signs here at home.

Can we (the U.S.) opt out of this apology? This just gags me, omg!

I think Patsy's song "CRAZY" would be more appropriate for these folks. Was that Patsy or Brenda Lee who sang "I'm Sorry" ?

And don't forget what this "imam" in Denmark did, he produced three false cartoons, added them to the 12 originals, and used them all to inflame the illiterate Mohammedans to violence.
Now he has an apology, tactic successful!!! Do it again, and again, and again.
And I, for one, will never lift a finger to help Europe. They are on their own!

The United Nations and European Union have reached agreement to issue a joint statement condemning cartoon "insults to Islam" that were first published in a Danish newspaper and have been widely reprinted recently, resulting in a rash of violence throughout the Muslim world.
----
The agreement, according to Ihsanoglu, will mean a formal rebuke by the U.N. and EU of the Danish paper Jyllands-Posten for publishing the offensive cartoons.
so, do you think the paper's editors and others will be subject to the same treatment as Theo van Gogh, seeing as there have already been threats?

And here I was just SURE that the UN and the EU would condemn the actions of and demand an apology from the Islamic Extremists.

Time for a groundswell grassroots campaign of supportive emails, letters (alas, telegrams no longer exist) to the Danes expressing normal Americans' unqualified support! Any Freeper suggestions as to where to send them?
You could make an 'I'm sorry, Denmark' website.

I think it was a FReeper who pointed out that they don't get uppity until they have 10-15% of the local population.
To get that in China, they'd have to import 150 million of 'em.
(There are about 15 million Catholics, 14 million Muslims, and 14 million Protestants in China... although "home" churches make the numbers veeery fuzzy.)
To: Steveone
There must be a way to get our country out of the UN, and the UN out of our country.

What's next? A ban on publishing unfavorable news articles about Islam? A ban on favorable items about Jewish and Christian matters because it offends the "only true religion?"
Let's all accept the Koran lest we offend Muslims and their only recourse is to riot and kill -- that's what I hear from "moderate" Muslims living here in the U.S.; to wit, it's our fault, we made 'em do it.
