Why should this be zotted? It's classic.
To: ClassConscious
A clever attempt at evasion of the ZOT, much better than most.
We are unconvinced that it will work, however.

Welcome to FreeRepublic! This place offers a far more honest and open exchange of ideas than most people think.
If you spend some time here and don't take any comments from other Freepers personally (we all get out of hand on occasion!), you'll fit right in.

Hate to break this to you but you wouldn't be working if it weren't for capitalists. ;)

Well, folks, I say we give the poster a chance. He at least understands the 2nd Amendment, which is more than you can say for the average progressive.

I should close this by saying I agree with nothing the Republicans or conservatives are for - except one thing. I am a complete supporter of the Second Amendment. I have been on the left for a long time and the scariest people around are the gun control people. Not the soccer moms who the leaders of gun control people try to appeal to, but the leaders themselves, the people who want more and more gun control. That's some good stuff. Someday you'll understand the rest of it.

The problem is that you do not know what capitalism actually is. You are not alone in this. If you are still here later we can review what capitalism actually is.

I became a conservative when I started homeschooling. I was amazed to find out (my first foray into politics) that Democrats, the party of personal freedom, has no room for anyone who does not think state schooling is a good idea.
The democrats have no room for homeschoolers, or any personal independance of thought. It runs through everything they push, from "politically correct" speech, to "homophobia" to schooling your own kids or running your own life and business.
Keep reading. You may learn some good stuff.

Well, you ain't a progressive with that comment. You are either a socialist or a communist. Either way, you voice is welcome here, but don't be echos by the comments it brings back...

Thanks for posting. I think the big difference between we who call ourselves conservatives and the left is that we generally don't feel those who hold leftist views are evil based on their views. Wrong, misguided, even stupid, but not evil. Why? Because a lot of us have held a postition that could fairly be described as "left" at one time or another, and, shock of shock, most of us still think the
professed goals of the left are good. Who doesn't want inexpensive, universal health care, or perfect blue skies free from pollution.
The debate is how to go about getting these things.
And most of the leftists I know think I'm "evil" not wrong but evil because of the views I hold.
