And VOA replied:
Heck, they are already here.
In the form of the American newpaper editors that refuse to publish the cartoons, with the exception of the Philadelphia paper.
John speaking:
How can we Freepers show our support - both for the publication of the Mohammed cartoons, and for free speech in general?
Here's what I'd suggest..
We should all run off some copies of the "blasphemous" Mohammed cartoons on our computer printers. Then, armed with them and some Scotch tape, post them in public places for all to see. I'm sure many Americans don't even know what the "furor" is about. But there are Freepers everywhere, and the "message" will get out!
It will send a message to Mohammedans everywhere that here in the USA, we will not be intimidated by them.
And it _will_ "make the news" here.
I find it hypocritical that the media won't publish these editorial cartoons because they might upset the arab street yet they did publish false reports of military abuses despite requests not to by the State Department BECAUSE such "fake but accurate" news stories were inciting riots, violence, hostility, and terrorism.
