I find it hypocritical that the media won't publish these editorial cartoons because they might upset the arab street yet they did publish false reports of military abuses despite requests not to by the State Department BECAUSE such "fake but accurate" news stories were inciting riots, violence, hostility, and terrorism.

Interesting follow-up:
I just happened to see a bit of Tucker Carlson's show on MSNBC.
He put the heat to Jim O'Shea (sp?) the managing editor of The Chicago Tribune,
saying that because American newspapers are NOT publishing the cartoons,
the readers are not being fully informed of the story...and that
the newspapers are essentially holding back information.
The editor squirmed and squirmed, trying not to be honest and admit
that yes, he's a censor, not a journalist. He also tried to use
the excuse that "it's dangerous" to report this news...but didn't seem to
think that printing
"IT'S TOO DANGEROUS TO REPORT ON CARTOONS ABOUT MUSLIMS"
would tell the readers a LOT about the situation.

Carlson had Rachel Madow (sp?) of Air America on right after that
and this liberal nutburger proceeded to back up the Chicago Tribune
editor on not publishing the cartoons.

Amazing how liberal journalists and Air America folks forget about
that "right to know" mantra whenever they want to.
