MOSCOW, February 6 (Itar-Tass) - Moscow police are investigating the circumstances of a brawl in a downtown cafe in the Russian capital during which a Danish citizen was injured. An official of the city’s Central administrative district police department told Itar-Tass on Monday, “The Russian citizen detained for a shootout has been charged under Article 213 of the Russian Criminal Code (hooliganism).”

The police department officer said, “The incident took place in the Vizion cafe located at Bolshaya Yakimanka Street on Sunday night. Two companies were relaxing there at the time and all of them were considerably drunk.” The officer said, “There were a man of Caucasian descent, Serbian citizen and Azerbaijani citizen at one table and at the opposite table were seated a Danish, a British and a US citizen.” The two companies started a brawl during which the 25-year-old Muscovite started to threaten the other party with an airgun pistol and then made a shot. “The young man shot at random, however accidentally hit the Dane,” the police officer said.

The foreigner who is an employee of a law firm got “a non-penetrating chest wound and was rushed to a hospital.” He was discharged from there after getting first aid.

The man who discharged air pistol at the Dane was immediately detained. The man of Caucasian descent explained his actions by “suddenly emerged hatred.” The investigation does not link this conflict with the publication by Western mass media of Prophet Mohammed caricatures.

Hmm...

The Caucasus are mainly Muslim. I wonder what they were arguing about?

Mark this day in your calendars, folks, and you too can tell your grandchildren you were there at the birth of a new "disease" that will soon sweep the American courthouses: "Suddenly Emerged Hatred Syndrome."

Jeez, so now I have to watch out for "random caucasians" and their "emerging hatred"? Don't we have enough trouble from the Democrats?

Caucasian (not "white" but from the Caucasus and possibly Chechen) and Serbian...you can expect to hate America and everybody else. But Azerbajis? Normally, very pro-American.

Thanks - it is good to know what they really meant! I was being somewhat sarcastic with my original comment.

[Serbian rightly so, seeing how we betrayed them]

Milosevic didn't stand up to "left wing America" but rather to America and the US Air Force. He lost my sympathy right there...and he especially lost my sympathy when he clearly wanted to make the US Air Force look weak by trying to survice under an air campaign (once the US military moves, enemies are expected to surrender).

That was the mistake. If Milosevic had been an upstanding member of a recognized conservative movement in this world, if Russia and Serbia had been better at convincing conservatives anywhere outside of the Slavic world what the threat was from Islam...the "misunderstanding" would not have happened.

Instead, Milosovic acted like a jerk.

Instead, Milosevic had a communist wife who hated America from the left wing perspective.

Instead, Milosevic was buddy-buddy with Saddam Hussein and Castro.

Serbians were not well represented by that moron and Serbian men have NO BUSINESS now being enemies of the USA.

Unfortunately, they are high on the list of possible terrorist supporters inside Europe. They should get their act together and do more business in the regular business world (the last place a businessman in Germany is going to get an order from is Belgrade).

There needed to have been a worldwide conservative movement so countries like Serbia could have appealed properly to American conservatives to say "stop your liberal president".

They could have said "we are with conservative Americans in their vision of a conservative world, so please help stop Clinton". But Milosevic buddied up to Saddam instead and his wife remained a communist.

'Hooliganism' was a favorite charge in the Soviet days too.

. . . Serbian men have NO BUSINESS now being enemies of the USA.

Maybe you wouldn't feel that way if you were from the Serb village that had its bridge bombed twice by an American warplane, once while filled with folk on their way to church for Orthodox Pentecost, and again while the villagers, including their priest (who was killed) were helping the wounded.

Clinton, Albright, Clark and crew were oh, so sensitive about not attacking Muslims on their holy days, but carried out the entire anti-Serb campaign during Orthodox Lent, Holy Week, and the fifty days up to Pentecost, without even bombing halts for the major feasts.

[Maybe you wouldn't feel that way if you were from the Serb village that had its bridge bombed twice by an American warplane]

And we bombed Dresden, so what? The people of Dresden are now the most pro-American of Germans.

I have a huge problem with Americans justifying continued hatred of America for any past wars. I voted for Gore in 2000 precisely because of the anti-war attitude of Republicans. I am now a Republican because of the anti-war attitude of Democrats.

And it has nothing to do with me being pro-war that I vote against the party that criticizes war efforts in such a manner as to say the "enemy" now has a right to hate us forever. I don't waste any time saying that Clinton and Albright engineered the current hatred of us by Muslims...mainly because the Muslims have NO BUSINESS hating America now for anything Clinton did.

Milosevic had the obligation to stop the war anytime he wanted to.

The moment the US Air Force started bombing, the Serbs needed to let us know where Milosevic was or otherwise force him to give up or assassinate him.

The same thing was true with the Germans: it was their obligation to assassinate Hitler.

Now on Serbia: we all seem to have forgotten about Serbia, but I am sure that Bush administration officials are working with Serbians to reverse any political damage, for instance regarding Kosovo.

One of the really sad things about how the Clinton Administration came to power...was Republican Isolationism.

Clinton's margin of victory came from guys like me who wanted to democratize and economically globalize the world.

It turns out that Clinton failed to see the Muslim threat and he and Albright fanned the flames among Muslims without my noticing (no Internet blogs)...because Clinton should have liberated Iraq in his first term.

But did the Republicans scream "Its the Muslims stupid"? No. They did not. Only after 9-11 did they say that.

On Serbia, they didn't say in 1999 "You shouldn't be helping Muslims because they are the real enemy".

Did the Republicans get angry when Clinton bombed Iraq in late 1998? Yes. They said it was "wag the dog."

If the Republicans had spent all the time they did complaining about Monika instead complaining that Clinton allowed Pakistan to get nuclear weapons...I would have voted for Bush in 2000.

suddenly emerged hatred

Sounds like a new disorder. I wonder if it is covered by the Americans With Disabilities Act.
