homeschool ping
the "pill" and pornagraphy and the unending onslaught of sexually permissive behaviour...glorified by not only the perverts but by many "well-meaning" "convservatives" and freepers who think that anything goes, no questions asked....
then these same freepers come on and whine incessantly about how bad our boys are turning out......they just don't get the connect....
I am saying it right now.....even the prevelance of so called "soft" porn and the acceptance of "titty" restaurants (hooters) as normal and good is making animals of our young people.....girls think they have to bare all and give all to be popular and boys think they deserve all......
really, what do people expect?......you can't make a rose out of a thistle....
("Drunken men with multiple piercings and bright red robes, with one loose woman under each arm, cavorting in orgiastic revelry against a background of annoying, mosquito-like music? Maybe a bone through the nose as well?")
So why would homeschooling be a reaction to this fantasy?
The part about the "Bog Chasers" is pretty disgusting, all the way around ....
Response: What does one expect in a vice addicted society?
I agree.
The phrase you pick out was a description of Hollywood's portrayal of "Soddom and Gomorrah" in the 1950s, according to the author, not a description of kids in their school pictures.
Interesting.
bump for later
"Latin 101 for David Kupelian. Lucifer means - literally - a bearer, or carrier,of light. His "Lucifer (literally, "Angel of Light")" is an erroneous translation."
And anyone who has owned an older British car knows exactly who Lucifer really is. He's Joseph Lucas, and he's the Lord of Darkness.
Every generation has wrung it's hands over the horrible exceses of it's youth culture. In the '20s and '30s it was raccoon coats, fast cars, a hip flask of illegal booze, and sex. In the '40s and '50s it was "rebel without a cause," motorcycles, pot, speed, and sex. In the '60s and '70s it was acid rock, more drugs, and more sex. In the '80s it was coke, disco, and "safe sex." In the '90s the whole Goth subculture started up, along with gunge rock (and of course sex.)
The only reason today's youth have gone so far 'out there' is because it takes a lot to shock or offend today's liberal ex-hippie parents.
Sure there are a few looney toons out there, but when hasn't there been. Over all though things are on the upswing
violent crime rate has massively declined, as well as the abortion rate dropped by about 25 percent for both married and unmarried women through the 1990s , The teen Pregnancy Rate Reached a Record Low, More Teenagers are saying no to sex and Drug use by teenagers continues to decline.

So I can't see where this author is coming from

"The Earth is degenerating today. Bribery and corruption abound. Children no longer obey their parents, every man wants to write a book, and it is evident that the end of the world is fast approaching."
-Assyrian tablet 2800 BC
TEOTWAWKI, for sure.
You only mention from the 20's on. Hmmmm, the 20's is when liberal ideology really took off.....
