Well, my guess is that the US press has other priorities. I don't think they will get it. I can't say for sure what their priorities are, just what they aren't for - protection of the American way of life, freedom, that kind of stuff.

The problem is not Islam, the problem is leftism, multiculturalism, multi-racialism, one-worldism, immigration, etc., the problem is that there are Muslims living in the West. The great belief of the modern leftist in colonizing his own country is that by, in effect, introducing one-worldism in one country he will induce other countries to follow suit and then we'll all live under a world government utopia. The reality is that this is never going to happen, what will happen is that countries that believe in this fairy tale will be destroyed and that healthier countries still practicing nationalism (like China) will take over. Isms work because the organized will always defeat the unorganized. In the meantime, the multiculti internal empires (for that is what they are) will by necessity become police states and the quality of life for the average native will take a nosedive, as has already happened.

The explanation given above on the motives of the new imperialists is putting the best face on it. In reality modern leftism has long since degenerated into a murderous, genocidal racist movement mad with fury to eliminate white people who stand in the way of their egalitarian utopia, and willing to use any weapon available to eliminate their hated foe. Thus the bizarre spectacle of Western leftists inviting medieval Muslims to colonize their nations.

If nothing else, these actions display the underlying goals of not only the Islamofascists, but of a growing inclusion of "mainstream" Muslims.

But this is nothing new. History is full of groups of people who tried to impose their will on others, usually through force. And history so far is equally full of those groups who stood up against them and put them down, usually through force.

This is going to get a lot uglier than we have seen.

Or to put all the above another way, sharia has arrived in the West on the back of political correctness. It isn't going away, it will only get worse, the censors will win because there is no movement to remove or even slow its source: the colonization of the West by Muslims. I posted this to another thread: In the conflict between multiculturalism and traditional Western freedoms, the establishment will rape freedom. They don't get power from freedom. They get power from divide and conquer multiculturalism and the nanny state needed to administer it. Islamic censorship in the West is just an offshoot of the last several decades of politically correct censorship, and could only happen because that earlier censorship paved the way for it and legitimized it.
