The Republican party has never been the racists' party starting from Lincoln, in fact quite the opposite. What tarnished its reputation is the defecting of some racist elements during the 60s from the Democratic party to the Republican, when the Dems veered sharply to the left.

Great article.
Pulling together a "coalition of the willing" fringe groups, gays, wackos, and other assorted nuts, is the only thing the dems have left.
Certain black politicos and rabble rousing lunatics certainly fall into that grouping.
Perhaps a tipping point can be established to counter that insufferable nonsense.

None of these count. They got educated and worked.
It doesn't count if you have to work. The game plan is to take from the white workers and redistribute to the black nonworkers. It's only fair.

I was all set to vote for Swann for governor and then I read a report that said that said Republicans are racist.

the premise that a democrat government is the only thing that will keep blacks from going back to seperate water fountains and shackles has been debunked and the race baiters that continue to push that message are as out of date and removed from reality as those japanese soldiers that emerge from the jungle twenty years after WW2 still personally at war against the US.

Indeed, if the GOP is true to its core, it is in a groovy position to render color less and less an issue. Democrats will not, cannot, do that because their race-based politics drives wedges between blacks and whites. This quote is from the last part of the article and tells the bottom line to the DemocRAT party.

Republicans in office need to get off there tails and start to get on the soap box and court the black vote hard. Look the Rats constantly remind the Black vote that the Republicans are evil, don't go there or else. The GOP needs to really press this and not just throw up there arms and say well what are you going to do?
They will not go to a place they feel they are not wanted. They are wanted and should be part of the party that truely will do the best job for them. It can happen but it will take a long time and many seeds need to be planted, but the harvest will be great!

Not a specific Blackwell article, but interesting nonetheless.
