The Democrat supporters are not motivated. At least, conservatives are motivated everyday, all the time.

"I think Bush made a big mistake in supporting Specter. Wonder if he regrets it?"

That's a good question. I'm sure President Bush has many regrets, and Specter could be one of them. I think the President regrets saying he has "political capital" to spend.

Excellent pick MNJ. A lot of people think that Bubba's neglecting defense in the 90's hurt us badly in the WOT.

Listening to MTP and Boehner, this is the most partisan gotcha interview I have heard in a long time, Timmy is rabidly trying to get Bohener.

My point was...Didn't Swann play for the Steelers?

A Steeler win could give him support.

MSM's 3 day non-stop coverage of ABC reporter Bob Woodruff's wounding not only angered the public, but upset even soldiers & generals in Iraq.

If only they showed the same respect for the REAL HEROES like North County Times story about 26-year-old U.S. Army Staff Sgt. David L. Herrera, killed in a roadside bombing in Iraq.

Despite their loss, the Herreras are unwavering in their support of U.S. policy and the goal of bringing peace to a country confronting almost daily insurgent-led bombings and small arms attacks that claim the lives of American soldiers and Marines.

......... "David was doing what he loved and he gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country. He loved the Army, and he loved our country."

The Herreras remain committed despite the prospect that David's older brother, Staff Sgt. Marcus Herrera, 30, may be called back to Iraq as his brother was for a second tour of duty. The siblings took part in the March 2003 U.S. invasion, both as members of the Army's storied 101st Airborne Division. They remain committed even as Marcos, 55, an Army veteran who served in Vietnam in 1970-71 and is now a master sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves, is scheduled to be called back to active duty in March.

"He was there for us," Marcos Herrera said of his son. "He did it for this country, and he did it for the president. We are there for a reason. There is a mission, and we will complete it."

In truth, ABC reporter is getting paid millions in salary & can leave whenever he wanted. His & ABC's Iraq coverage was & is mostly negative towards our soldiers.

MSM will get SOME respect if they atleast chose to cover stories of our REAL heroes than themselves.

Timmy is rabidly trying to get Bohener.

Was that not one of the worst things you've ever seen? On the other hand, Chris Wallace does an excellent interview with General Hayden. He asked very good questions and Hayden did a masterful job of answering them. With respect to Boehner, I really didn't know must about him, but he is very impressive.

Boehner is doing a very good job on MTP.

Timmy is in his usual attack dog mode with Boehner. He's hammering him on accepting trips, passing out tobacco money (10 years ago) etc., to paint the new Majority Leader as "just as corrupt" as Delay.

This is meme #1 this week from the dims and the old media:

"The Republicans have a corruption problem"

I would bet the farm Russert is not as well versed as he appears on his TV program.

Rusert, like the rest of these TV personae, is a performer, not a scholar. He knows what his staff puts together for him and as for the rest of the universe of information, litle more than the man in the street. He knows inside-the-beltway people, but that's not the same as knowing what's actually going on.

I realized this finally after repeatedly watching him totally ignore blatant lies and fail to recognize his own egregious errors.

We learn things here, and tear our hair when he blithely overlooks important revelations and devlopments. We assume he knows these things too, but chooses to delete them from the discourse. I don't doubt his leftwing bias, which is manifest, but I also believe he is just an ignorant talking head, reading other peoples' questions to guests who often give other peoples' answers. I doubt Tim Russert actually spends much time on current events, since he is not in the news business, himself.

Michael Barone(who I greatly respect) was on Fox yesterday..he noted that the Repubs are in trouble this year(I might add..as of right now) and the chances of them retaining Congress is 50/50....but, like he said this is very fluid and can change overnight.......I must admit I was a little taken aback by his statement.

Kristol's response was so damned lame he looked embarrassed giving the response and looked like he was looking for a place to hide. He cannot condemn the Post and Toles because he is tied into a relationship with these yellow journalists. He is their stoolie.

Wishful thinking. Mike Barone should look at the internals of the polls he is consulting. Garbage in Garbage out and the internals on the polls are skewing all the analysis in a fraudlent direction. 1st off. They are polling ALL adults. Well about 45-50% of those respondents will not vote. Secondly, they signifinantly upped the Democrat %. Sorry but the polling data is propganda, not reality.

I wish that FNS would have different people on for a change instead of always media related people. Why not a captain of industry or someone from the financial world to give a different perspective in other words someone from the "real world".

Funny, Ashcroft came in strong support of Bush on 3 networks, the first day story broke.
