Sunday, February 5th, 2006
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Gen. Michael Hayden, the principal deputy director of national intelligence; House Majority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Boehner; Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Gen. Michael Hayden; Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif.; Afghan President Hamid Karzai; former interim Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi; Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Saudi ambassador to the United States; Pittsburgh Mayor Bob O'Connor; Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels.
Agreed.
This coming election is a big one. If the Democrats would regain the House, the country is in trouble for years to come.
On Fox..Both Brit and Juan agree with us that rioting and burning down embassies are outrageous..and Kristol says he fears the intimidation is working in Europe. I think those cartoons were done as protest against the Islamic pressures and against those caving in to their demands.
They'd better!
Pittsburgh cannot be allowed to tie the Cowboys record, which, as you know, is sacred.
LOL, cjg! I agree w/you, altura. Remember now, I want to get out of the auditorium alive. 8)
I didn't realize Woolsie was on the Libby team. Good.
Juan was great today on the cartoons and the rioting.
But I understand that to a long point. My husband works for ABC and he was very concerned.
Agreed
I'm going to stick my neck out and predict Specter will be a pleasant surprise when the hearings on NSA/FISA start tomorrow.
I think 9:30 is the start time and I plan to be front and center, popcorn at the ready and a nice warm fire. I will apologize profusely if I am wrong.
Every now and then he gets it right. I'm tempted to use the stopped clock analogy, but I think he's a bit better than that. Of course, when he's wrong it makes my teeth hurt!
Specter is real problem on every issue..
I can't explain why but I have a wierd feeling about this one. I wonder what's REALLY going on.
I do. I'd like to know what he thinks is the difference between neo-con's and Republican conservatives? What is it about being a Republican conservative that he does not agree with or accept?
My letter to FNS@foxnews.com as requested by Chris Wallace:
The final comments of Kristol and Williams (that using the depiction of a severely wounded soldier in an editorial cartoon is OK) are offensive to me because these same commentators would not defend a cartoonist drawing a crippled animal, for fear of the wrath of PETA, ASPCA, and animal lovers in general.
They display their lack of sensitivity to our military volunteers and the sacrifices they make in the defense of our country. Quite a "tell" by which future comments about our military forces will be measured.

The expression "offensive to me" trumps everything in libspeak these days! I am teaching myself to use it.
I think Bush made a big mistake in supporting Specter.
Yeah, we needed the spot for Republicans, but the other guy would have been a real Republican (I think).
Wonder if he regrets it?
Pittsburgh needs to win one for the thumb today. They have waited too many years for this opportunity to win their fifth Super Bowl. Fans throughout the entire country will agree!
Yes, ask him if he will ever get over his petulance over not getting a Bush admin job and stop finding fault with everything Bush says or does...
