Dean should still be a mediocre Doctor. He is in the wrong occupation. Dean would do better in stand up comedy being a crazy Doctor Jeckyl.

There was no evidence of her when McCain met the President even though it was McCain's 69th birthday.

President George W. Bush joins Arizona Senator John McCain in a small celebration of McCain's 69th birthday Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, after the President's arrival at Luke Air Force Base near Phoenix. The President later spoke about Medicare to 400 guests at the Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort and Country Club in nearby El Mirage.

The only time I remember seeing her was during the 2004 campaign and then only when he met the President.

Boehner is doing a very good job on MTP

Good. Probably means we will never see him again on a Sunday Show but good.

Good morning Johnnie and all.

Here is the CBO report on historical data for the budget since 1962, including 2005.

Although the Republicans have not made large cuts in the budget, historically, the outlays as a percentage of GDP are right in line.

If not for the money spent for the military and Iraq/Afghanistan, the budget would be smaller than most previous budgets gauged by % of GDP.

This Arlen Specter gets on my nerves. He should have been thrown out during the last election. It is easy to connect the dots with Specter and some of the other Democrat Senators such as Schummer.

Spector is a deep, sharp thorn in the side of President Bush.

No budget is EVER less in dollars than in a previous year.

Mostly correct. However, during the 1990s, the Dept of Defense budget actually DECREASED. It is the only part of the Govt that ever actually gets CUT, not just a reduction in the rate of growth.
