Ex-president Bill Clinton defended his wife Hillary on Friday for claiming last month that the GOP-led Congress was being run like a "plantation," adding that he thought House Democrats were being treated like "sharecroppers."
Asked if he agreed with Mrs. Clinton's comment, the ex-president told WCBS Radio's Peter Maer: "Oh, absolutely I do. And it had no racial overtones."
"It was more about the arbitrary and complete exercise of power and control," he contended."
Clinton cited an unnamed farmer-turned-congressman from East Arkansas who told him he agreed with Hillary as well. "I wouldn't say we were slaves," Clinton quoted the congressman as saying. "We're more like sharecroppers."
The ex-president then added, "Another member of the United States Congress who worked on a plantation as a boy came up and thanked my wife for saying that."
After offering racially tinged anecdotes, Mr. Clinton again insisted that Hillary "absolutely meant nothing racial by it."
"I defend her, I think she did the right thing," he said. "And I think that's why the Black Caucus defended her."
This aint McDonalds, but I'm lovin' it!
This is a joke,right?
Two for the price of one : Dumb and Dumber.
sort of like how Democrats treat Blacks?
Massa I done got de mule an brung him to da barn like ya toll me...
Some body needs to tell Merve the perve, that the plantation owners were dmoncrappers and the new wave owners are still demoncrappers. Our mulaato ex-presidenteh sure ought to know that factoid. Oh, I forgot he is about as disfunctional as any predator can get with symphillis eating away at your mind.
I suspect the congressman Slick referred to is Marion Berry. He "worked on a plantation" alright: try OWNS ONE!! If you don't believe plantation life still exists outside the Democratic mindset in congress, plan your next vacation for the Mississippi Delta counties in Mississippi and Arkansas.
Spend time in Clarksville, Cleveland, Greenwood, and Greenville, Ms. and Lake Village, Elaine, Marianna, Helena, and West Helena, Ar. Plan on stayng long enough to get the true flavor of what fifty years of Democratic paternalism has done for the black populations of this area of the country.
In short, nothing positive has been done since reconstruction. That is, unless one considers the creation of a blind faith, unquestioning loyalty to their new "Massas".
Frankly, it disgusts me to see how cheaply the black folk have sold out to those that conciously have doomed them to an economic slavery every bit as vile as the chains that bound their ancestors.
Regarding Clinton's claim that an Arkansas congresscritter used the expression, "we're more like sharecroppers," the only people who fit the bill for eastern Arkansas are Congressman Mike Ross and Congresswoman Marion Berry. What will you bet that both deny they ever said it???
Another Black Arkansan who suffered from mental illness, Ricky Ray Rector, became world famous upon his execution in 1992. Then Governor Bill Clinton left the campaign trail in January of that year to sign the warrant for Rectors execution. Rectors mental capacity was such that when taken from his cell as a dead man walking he told a guard to save his pie. He thought he would return to finish his dessert. I try to remember this story when I am told that all Black people love Bill Clinton or that he should be considered the first Black president. Clinton wasnt Black when Rector needed him. He was just another politician who didnt want to be labeled soft on crime.
Sounds like he thinks the vote should be taken away, so his wifey could have things HER way.
The lying scum that has long pretended to represent 'the American people' have been told to *flake* off!
If that's what he SAYS, then she DID intend racial connotation. If this lying POS told me my mom loves me, I'd go and check with mom.
Sharecroppers work the land, while someone else owns it. They enjoy only a portion of the benefits of their labor. They are subject to the whims of the landowner at any time. Ths sharecropper takes most of the risk, while the landowner reaps most of the reward.
The above pretty welly describes the Socialist economic government system that your party loves and fights for. While a sharecropper generally does the above voluntarily, not all of us want to be sharecroppers in your grand socialist Utopia.
The statement indicates a misunderstanding of the term Sharecroppers. For their labor, sharecroppers are renumerated a share of the crop.
In the House where the Rats contribute nothing and oppose everything, they get no share.
ahhhhhh ... the race card! Pretty hand to carry the deck in your back pocket, huh?
This is what I found for current Congressmen. Notice the skin color problem.

Tell it, virgil. Then, ya'll come on up to rural North Carolina and take a look. Same scenery.
Thank you!
Kunta Klinta strikes again.
He is blackest man in America.
