NBC News pointed that out in their reporting tonight about the embassy attacks
If anyone has really looked at these cartoons you`ll notice that these cartoons really aren`t that insulting in a direct kind of way...Yes there is one cartoon that shows their Death God with a bomb on his head, but other than that, these cartoons don`t go delve much further in the offensive category.
The real reason the worshippers of Death are ticked off is not because of these "jokes" but because it is against the rules of their cult to show an image of their Death God, it really doesn`t matter what their Death God is doing in these cartoons.
And how do the followers of the Death God want to solve it? By causing Death.
Just more proof for liberals that Islam IS the bane of humanity, and if they still have any doubts, they need only examine the Death followers comments and increasing violence everyday on this subject. How many will the Death cult kill this time and how many will they kill in the future in the worst kind of way you can imagine? The answer is as many as they can, and for what? All because of a freggin` illustration.
And they say Bush is crazy? No Bush is not crazy, Bush is someone who has finally come along, someone who has the fortitude to finally stand up to this bulls--t! Year after year after year he stands and no matter what they do or say he will not back down. That ladies and Gentleman is a leader of men.
But that's different. It involved making America look bad. This is about portraying the Muslims as innocent victims of horrific attacks on their religion. [/sarcasm]
Why its got to be like that?
Wonder if Howard Stern would post the cartoons.
I've seen all the Mad Mo cartoons on the Net.
Does anyone know if NBC news aired pictures as things such as the "christ art"and other offensive things?
Yes but MOST americans, espically older ones, don't use the net for news..they have no idea how mild these cartoons are
Amen!!! It is little wonder to me why the miitary have such high regard for him.
This is the most interesting controversy in recent memory. It seems to put two dearly held American beliefs in direct conflict: Respect for the religion of other people and freedom of the press.
NO, In America you have freedom of religion(and press)...you don't have respect anything or any religion
I said "beliefs" not law. Most folks tend to respect the religions practiced by others.
Really! Half of the cartoons portrayed Mohammed exhorting Muslims not to be violent. This is insanity.
Fox news showed the cartoons.
I didn't want those published and I see no value in publishing fotos that will give the barbaric savages an excuse for more killing.
They've shown their base nature to the world, no need for us to add to the rioting.
Fox and friends this morning said Fox was NOT showing the cartoons..Julian(amazingly) and the other anchors said why can we show cartoons making fun of US troops but not these..and they also got many angry e-mails they said...they must of "caved"
So there I was...trying to count how many double standards the media regularly exhibits..when I lost count- and realized it's not double standards- it's a complete lack of them..
That's a good point.
I just finished reading Ari Fleischer's excellent book about his tenure as WH press secretary.
His book is replete with examples of the press calling him for information and letting him know about a story they were writing and he told them they were wrong about something, and they published the stories anyway!
Of course, in all the stories they got wrong, it made the president or someone in his administration look bad. Every single example. It's a fascinating look at the media. Even for those of us who know how bad it is, it will still stun you.
