Yep, our gov't is just as guilty as the Europeans in that regard. Winning the "hearts and minds" of people who have neither is an impossibility.

The difference lies in urgency -- Europe is currently being overrun with the vermin, while in the U.S. they're still a (relatively) insignificant minority. Any mass demonstrations by Islamics on this side of the pond threatening to behead Americans would surely result in ......dead demonstrators.

Just my opinion, but for now they have a similar goal, which is the death of western civilization and world domination. The reasons why the have this goal are different, and if someday they achieved the death of western civilization, they would turn on each other.

I finally saw the comics in another post. Most of them were poorly done and the humor was pretty pathetic. Certainly nothing that could be seen as denigrating Islam the religion, but rather poking fun at the criminal suicide bombers and other violent types.

If these people indeed take offense to the extent of protesting, maybe they should be deported to a country where they will not be exposed to such offensive material (as there is no free press in the arab world, al jizz notwithstanding).

Gotta love those protest signs, they really sum up the case for continuing the course. In fact, they really sum up the case for nuking the region.

No, allah is the name of the pagan moon god. There were many pagan gods in Mohammand's time, and he chose the moon god to be the god of Islam. Please don't ever associate Allah with the capital "G" God which is OUR God, THE Christian God.

how long has islam been called a "religion of peace", this is my question.

if it is a fairly recent phrase used to describe islam, it might show it's definitive link to the left. it was lenin or marx that described 'peace is the absence of opposition to socialism'
