Yep, our gov't is just as guilty as the Europeans in that regard. Winning the "hearts and minds" of people who have neither is an impossibility.
The difference lies in urgency -- Europe is currently being overrun with the vermin, while in the U.S. they're still a (relatively) insignificant minority. Any mass demonstrations by Islamics on this side of the pond threatening to behead Americans would surely result in ......dead demonstrators.
The UK doesn't have a right to keep and bear arms which emboldens these wackos. Let that happen south of the Mason/Dixon line and there will be multiple al-dafin.
