i was just reading this...it sort of makes sense now. the US doesn't really want to tick off the muslims that are actually helping us...in other words, like one of the posters said somewhere...lol Justin Higgins was doing what he is supposed to do, being diplomatic. imagine if the Iraqi's that are helping in Iraq thought the US was okay with mocking their God. i really don't think it would help the situation there at all.
ooh good one
any artists here?
i'd love to send that one around!!
i'd even print it and send it with "real" letters to all my reps.
this is crazy -- the U.S. has lost its mind. Bush spoke warmly of IslUm again in his SOTU address and made me feel like vomiting.
BARF...
They should of.. if they didn't they are hypocrites.
I don't mind the State Dept saying they are offensive... espically when they put the respect of freedom of press and speech first.
You can say what you want.. but be thoughtful of what you say.
That's a good message to send. But it should go for the Jews and the Christians as much as it does for the Muslims.
Do you really want to put our soldiers in Iraq in more harms way, and do you really want to blow our fragile relationship with our new Iraqi allies, all to come to the defense of the arrogant ingrates of Europe?
WE could have remained silent, Sam the Man. No one was asking for our opinion. We volunteered unnecessarily.
The U.S. government's role is to protect and further the interests of the United States and its people, not to fight a religious war. This distinction is particularly important as the U.S. is trying to establish a peaceful and modern constitutional democracy in Iraq, a country that is virtually 100% Muslim. The U.S. government cannot remain silent on the topic, since all nations with predominate Muslim populations are telling them that U.S. support on the issue is their top priority.
We may correctly observe that Islam is a violent political movement masquerading as a religion. Our government cannot do so, at least not in our lifetimes.
Lame @ss State Department PC pansies.
Screw you Kurtis Cooper.
WE could have remained silent, Sam the Man. No one was asking for our opinion. We volunteered unnecessarily.Hey. We have our new friends in Iraq to think of and all of our SOLDIERS who are out in the field working with them. Have you FORGOTTEN them?
Iraq is where the real battle line is being drawn. Let the euroweenies defend their own damned cartoons.
Is this the Rice led State Department?
No, I have not forgotten. I send packages every week.
May I refer you to the following essay by VDH?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1570861/posts
Yes. This is the Rice-led State Department supporting our troops in Iraq, not looking for fights in Europe.
I send packages every week. That's great. Then I hope you think about what I'm saying. We want a lot of Iraqi Muslims on our side right now, don't we? They're working arm and arm with our troops right now, aren't they? We should be picking our battles carefully right now, shouldn't we?
LOL
With regard to satirical cartoons in a privately owned Danish or French newspaper, that has nothing to do with the foreign or domestic policies of the governments in question. Is America anti-Christian because of blasphemous art in the public arena? This is just an excuse for radical Muslims to agitate against the Western democracies. Shame on the State Department for caving in to terrorist supporters.
Islam is a Satanic Cult!! The State blew this one.
Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters
No, Muslims will never be on our side because we are infidels and need to be either converted or put to death.
