probably a religion of peace response to cartoon images of mohammad.More likely a lone psycho who is acting out to avenge some childhood disappointment.
To: Another Thought
Not to point fingers at this early in the story, however homosexual activist groups (act up, etc) have been known to do such vandalising and attacks. (remember when they stormed the CBS newsroom when it was live on the air. Poor dan)

One black church, 4 white churches. Anyone want to guess which church the reporters will be breathlessly reporting in front of?

Yeah, they don't like those bigoted, Bible believing churches. Nah, got to burn em up and remove their First Amendment rights asap!
That IS what many would like.

The crimes were probably committed by local Satanists, most likely teenage Goth types, as some others have speculated. These scum will likely be easy to find. Unless one or more of them are from well-connected families, they will probably receive appropriate sentences from the state courts. Of course, the Feds will stay out. Christians are not the victims of "hate crimes", only those who adhere to non-Christian religions. The same holds true for whites. "Hate" is what the Feds and the MSM say it is.
To: Husker24
No "hate crime" here. That's what the media will say.
Who knows ... maybe the media set the fires.

For the most part, Southern Baptist = white. The Southern Baptists split from other Baptist churches during the Civil War era. They did have considerable success impressing their denomination among Blacks, but many, many Blacks eventually drifted to other denominations, or formed their own.

Senator Byrd get drunk again?
He's easily confused these days, ya know.

..they'll have to do a whole lot of burning to get rid of us.
BTW the SBC's 1995 statement about the slavery issue should have put that to rest.
These incidents could be just plain evil with no rational plan or purpose other than to destroy a church.
